Match Thread Everton v Notts Forest. Sun Dec 29th. 3pm

Hello! Point me in the right direction for a great first game experience? We are from the US (Colorado) here to see the Everton game tomorrow Dec 29. My 11 year old has been a fan since 2020. We've grown to love the club and the culture. He said he would like to meet some true Everton fans. So here we are. We watched the Man City v Everton game and had to muffle our cheers because we were with a group of Man City fans. We toured the Etihad stadium yesterday I’m attaching a picture that Everton fans would appreciate. Any tips for us? Thanks 🙏
Where to begin? Make sure you go upstairs in the church on the corner of Goodison Rd and Gwladys St. There is a very old school market with retro stuff. No other club (as far as I know has one like it) and when we move next season we won't either. Have a great time!

I thought that, it wasn't the best of pass by any means.
As I said, I watched the game again today. No stress, as I knew the result 😉 I carefully watched the performances, trying to be as "neutral" as I could. Have to say EVERYONE put in a shift, worked hard. Only DCL looked out of it. Mangala was good. Tarks huge. PIckford, well, he was himself, ace.

NOTTINGHAM Forest

More importantly, you’re a bit of a bogey side for us since we got promoted. 1 of only 4 PL teams we haven’t beaten (along with Man City, Bournemouth and Wolves)

I fancied us v Spurs today. Fancy us less in this. Dyche knows us inside out as he watches us all the time (he lives near Trent Bridge)
Yeah aware of this and hoping he can make it count

I think Forest are as good as they're going to get, their tide, as it were, can only ebb.
They seem to operate a slightly different, more expansive, only slightly mind, version of Dycheball aka, KITAP1...with some younger faster players

If Football can be seen as a game of rock, paper, scissors...and up to a point it can (but only up to a point) that has way more than the 3 basic elements
Dyche can do paper and the odd time somebody turns up playing their version of rock and/or maybe like city is struggling for form
We get a 'result' we can live with - just.

Dyche is a streaky manager, how long this streak goes on for is in the lap of the gods

We'll could win this.

Forest will almost certainly finish in the top 6 this season and they've already beaten the likes of the RS, Villa and Spurs. Also Man Utd at Old Trafford.

If our fans are really up for this one, we could sneak it. The Grand Old Lady, when she's rocking, can sometimes get us over the line.

Frankly, though, I'd be happy with a draw.

Halfway through the season so the "easy run of fixtures" argument is stupid. They're a good team, if we get a point against these scabs it's a good result.
