Match Thread Everton v Notts Forest. Sun Dec 29th. 3pm

Did I miss injuries to Ndiaye and Coleman? ESPN is listing them both as in doubt for Sunday (yet they have Ndiaye in the predicted starting lineup; but Young over Coleman; arguably the latter could be on merit anyway with Young back from suspension).

Injury/suspension updates:

Seamus Coleman, D, undisclosed, DOUBT
James Garner, M, back, OUT, estimated return Jan. 9
Tim Iroegbunam, M, foot, OUT, estimated return Jan. 9
Dwight McNeil, F/M, knee, DOUBT
Iliman Ndiaye, F/M, calf, DOUBT

Both got subbed off against city with minor niggles

Pretty sure it’s nothing serious

Coleman won’t play anyway, young will return from suspension and resume as per

Ndiaye should be fine

Both Minor tightness in calf problems. Suppose we see tomorrow how minor they are are and were

Coleman went off right at the end but think it was just general fatigue. I think Young is returning regardless as he was part of a backline that had just kept three clean sheets in a row.

Hopefully Ndiaye makes it if he is a doubt otherwise going to be countering at snail pace again.

NOTTINGHAM Forest

More importantly, you’re a bit of a bogey side for us since we got promoted. 1 of only 4 PL teams we haven’t beaten (along with Man City, Bournemouth and Wolves)

I fancied us v Spurs today. Fancy us less in this. Dyche knows us inside out as he watches us all the time (he lives near Trent Bridge)

Will be interesting to see what Nuno does. Hard to counter v Everton. I’m guessing we’ll play it very patiently and hope to nick a goal.

I missed out on tickets for this, so I’ve probably been to Goodison for the last time. I’ll miss the place, having first gone as a young kid 40 years ago, and about 15 times since. Like most Forest fans, I’ve a huge respect for Everton - we see you, like Villa, as great historic clubs who deserve success more than the ‘Big 6’. Hopefully we can beat you here though.
Nice post mate. Pity you can't get to Goodison for one last jaunt

We were getting smashed by Arsenal
We were getting smashed by Wolves
We were getting smashed by Chelsea
We were getting smashed by City

Obviously we will get smashed by Forest too

I wonder when people will actually acknowledge we aren't the worst team in the country?
A few won't, ever, it is not in their DNA.

This is a game we should be going all out for 3points. Why are some acting like they will be happy with a point. A point should be the fallback at worst if we dont win. Forest off course are decent and may well attack better than city as i predicted few days ago (Who Knows), but again like most teams, some act as though the oppo we are playing are Bacelona or something
It is just the negativity that too many here (and at Goodison) wallow in. They are uncomfortable with any kind of positivity.

If there was such a thing as half a season awards

I would actually have Nuno as Boss of season, Milenkovic as signing of the season, and even Chris wood as one of the players of the season. Mostly all because no one expected anything like they have seen from Forest
