Match Thread Everton v Notts Forest. Sun Dec 29th. 3pm

Hello! Point me in the right direction for a great first game experience? We are from the US (Colorado) here to see the Everton game tomorrow Dec 29. My 11 year old has been a fan since 2020. We've grown to love the club and the culture. He said he would like to meet some true Everton fans. So here we are. We watched the Man City v Everton game and had to muffle our cheers because we were with a group of Man City fans. We toured the Etihad stadium yesterday I’m attaching a picture that Everton fans would appreciate. Any tips for us? Thanks 🙏

Just had a little mooch on their Forum...No Hudson Odoi or Yates for them by the looks of it.

They're desperate for the results against us as the haven't beat since they've come back up to the Prem.
Yates is suspended. First I've heard about Hudson-Odoi though and I'd be surprised if he's not in the starting XI. I wouldn't be surprised if we went 3-4-3 like we did at Brentford last week.

Contact the fans support on twitter and let them know, apart from that the fan zone should be sufficient- grab a drink county road and some food from the hot wok

We’ve been crap against every team you would hope we would try and beat.

Dyche can only set up one way. Defend and hope.

This is a game I’d like us to have a go and not think about forest’s current table position.

I’m sure we won’t though.

Myko needs benching and doucoure. He won’t. I get don’t change a team unless necessary but we should be having a go at home against forest.

Wood will be in Branth’s pocket.

Couple of posters on the Forest forum made reference to an ankle injury...dunno you'll know better than me.

I also seen a someone refer to us as "The cockroaches of the premier league" which made me chuckle.

I hope in another miraculous occurrence the refs make some blunders that favor us and forests Greek mafia boss owner. the blobfather, loses his mind again lol also hope they bring back the authority on referring clattenberg as a consultant

Depends on your definition of 'dominated'. Assuming you're not watching us each week and just looking at the possession stats then yes it will look like we've been dominated. In every other metric that matters we haven't been though.

You had less shots than Spurs, less shots on target, less corners; your GK made more saves.

🤷‍♂️

Have a look at the Church, which is unquestionably unique. Upstairs they sell fanzines etc and occasionally downstairs you can get tea and sandwiches. If you have a chance, the Goodison tour is well worth it

Fair enough, it certainly wasn't a domination though. We basically held Spurs at arm's length for 99% of the game. It was only really Johnson's chance late on where we got away with one.

I dont blame you for grandstanding. Your team has clicked. But we're not even half the way through the season and Newcastle, City, Spurs, United and probably Villa will all leap-frog Forest.

If it were me I'd just be pleased my team was safe from relegation this season. Almost inevitably Forest will lose form and end up 9th or so.

Question:
Based on the fact that we would have been in complete reindeer crap following this Xmas season without the 3 points from the draws. Is another draw good enough against Forest?

Obviously prefer a win, but don’t feel confident enough to even wish for it
