Match Thread Everton v Notts Forest. Sun Dec 29th. 3pm

Forest have taken the lead in 14 of their games this season... and Everton rarely come back to win from a goal down under Dyche.

Evertons run is turgid....

- 1 win in 9
- 3 wins in 17
- 8 wins in 37

Forest will have more about them than that City side on Boxing day...

When you look at the facts it's amazing how many still think Dyche is doing a good job!

Loser mentality has been drummed in to us ever since the 'expected losses' concept was introduced by Moshiri.

This should be regarded as a barometer game for the rest of our season, and in light of the last three results as well. Despite those, I'd be desperately disappointed if we fail to win. If we could manage to score first, then I'd be reasonably confident.

It's a cliché, but it is a huge game and particularly so for Dyche. Failure to get the three points here will take all of any gloss off the three previous results. It would also set the tone for the New Year and what we could hope to expect or not.

….i usually think Forest are ideal opponents for us because their strength is playing on the break and we tend to sit deep. The difference in them this season is they now have 2 outstanding CBs which will make things more difficult for us.

It's Forest.

Let me repeat that....

IT'S FOREST.
See these green things on the right? They are called wins.

They’ve had nearly as many in the last few weeks than we’ve had in the last 30+ games.

So what is the point you are are making? Or are you just reminding us all what they are called?
