Disagree completely - to fight on two or even three fronts you need squad depth.

We have none - absolutely none. Even if we win today so what if we have to do it in extra time and are beaten by Wolves tuesday and realistically start to fall away from the european spots.

Was absolutely stupid going half strength today either blitz them first half and rest a few or play the 2nd string and take whatever result comes.

I'm not sure that I agree. If we're talking in pure win/loss terms, maybe. That lineup says several things to me about Carlo's thought process:

- I want to see what I have in Gordon and Tosun, and I can't see that without putting some quality on the pitch around them
- I want to see if these pieces are at all useful in midfield
- I want to see where James and Digne are at for match conditions, and what a hypothetical best back four looks like
- Learning these things takes priority over winning.

Interestingly, the subs said, "I want to win." I suppose it shouldn't be surprising that the instinct is hard to suppress.

That performance was another shambolic unacceptable one
We’ve needed pace for years but this has never been addressed
Not just in defence but the midfield and forwards
Even now our forwards and wingers are nowhere near quick enough
Also don’t get me started on the passing ability of this team. It’s shocking
This team needs a total clear out and I’m not convinced on Richarlson either. Think he’s well overrated
Need to bring in young and HUNGARY players. Hardly any of this lot is worth a carrot.
If this was the 1950s, I'd totally agree. (Not being a language nazi. I know it's just a typo. Just too good to resist.

Couldn't agree more about the passing. It's painful to watch.

As for Richarlison. I like him although he hasn't been playing too well recently. Good player and offers the team a lot when he's on his game. However I'm sure Carlo was trying to boost his ego when he said he could be a future Balon D'Or winner. And anyone who thinks that needs to give their head a wobble.

I'm not sure the clear out needed is total though. The right players in the right positions will transform the team. Hopefully we can bring them in sooner rather than later.

I still see clear signs of progress. Bad as it was, that type of performance was much more common place in seasons gone by and we didn't have that bit of class to see us through.

Coleman needs replacing as a matter of urgency. He's completely finished.

Some truly woeful performances today but Gomes took the urine.
The trouble with Coleman is his legs have lost a yard of pace but they haven't told his brain, so he tries stuff he can't do anymore. Conversely he still doesn't block crosses, but I guess he never did.

Lower league sides step up in games like that and Rotherham made it hard so credit to them. We were far from good but we had the quality when it mattered and got through in the end. Be lying if I said I wasn't having Millwall flashbacks though.
I agree entirely. For most of the Rotherham players, playing a premiership team in a premiership stadium must be one of the high point in their careers so far.
Of course they play out of their skins and make life difficult for a bunch of prima donnas who think that they will have an easy time.
