There's just a loser attitude that runs right through the club. Manager after manager can't sort it out. The owners should let someone come in and clear the place out top to bottom. From the tea lady to the board of directors. We can talk about a lack of desire, a lack of pace, a lack of creativity, whatever, but the problem is a lack of consequence when we fail. We weren't just outfought by Sheff U tonight, we were outplayed. That's by a team with 5 wins and 2 draws all season before tonight. Yet we all know the same losers will be on the pitch against Wolves.
There has been something wrong within our club for many years. No idea what it is or how to fix it. We could have Messi in our team and within a few games we would Everton him

Yup, sums it up nicely. Mediocrity, and an acceptance of it, has permeated the club from top to bottom for decades. It's quite sad really.

I’ve started to become numb to it all to be honest, I think supporting other clubs you get highs and lows, with us it just feels like a constant state of monotony

Expecting Gomes to come on and change a game is like expecting water to not be wet. Hasn’t happened in 3 years but hey, why not get him on when we need 2 goals? Carlo is an undoubtedly great manager but persisting with the same garbage is annoying.
To be fair he does not have a lot of decent options. God knows how this mess can be sorted but it will not be sorted quickly :(

For the first time I don't particularly care if they go down next term. It will be an act of mercy.

I’m not sure what the answer is, but we can’t just think adding new players each summer will make any difference, they’ll soon slot into the current squad’s mindset and settle for the same level of mediocrity.
