We’re doing it purposefully. A frantic game suits them more than us, so we’re slowing it down when we’re in possession.

I´m going to join the other football experts and say that a second goal will give us a better chance of a winning.

I’m just not a fan of this system. Don’t think anybody has played badly, but it’s so sluggish unless both full-backs are bombing on.

Genuinely, a diamond can work in FIFA, and probably Das SPL. That’s about it

It would work here with proper fullback no doubt in my mind. We just need to have them.

Is there another team in the league worse than Everton at being in front in a game? We always switch off immediately after scoring.

I'm actually fine with us slowing the game in this scenario. They've got loads of pace on the counter, don't give them chance to gain momentum.

Not saying we should sit deep but having a boring end to the half was decent game management on our part.

I think someone like Iwobi could be a help 2nd half though. When we go forward they don't look comfortable at all.

When we pass it quickly they can't handle us. Come out flying get the second and they are done.

We are being overrun in midfield, not Doucoure’s fault imo......

Which is quite funny when you see they are playing 2 central midfielders and we are playing 4. They are on top midfield wise and are dictating the play from in there......

I’m not bothered about us having less of the ball - we’re better when the onus isn’t on us.

It’s just the few times we’ve actually sped the play up, they’ve looked all over the shot,

After that opener it should have been 5-10 minutes of attack from us, get the second and then you can take the foot off the gas and pick your moments

we’ve given them a lifeline and that has to change, because they’re genuinely awful
