Yep. Statements were exactly right in the circumstances.
This is a really big danger at the moment whether people want Martinez out straightaway or not. We can't condemn everything about him and glamorise everything he isn't. Swinging from one thing to another is not the sign of a club with desire to be better.
I'd maybe even start to agree with everyone who wants him out asap if it felt like we were analysing sensibly where we go next and coming up with a clear way forward that isn't just a rejection of anything Martinez has said or believes in.
The penny finally starting to drop pal

Thankfully, we have a cool head in charge now. Emotion gets in the way for fans, but Moshiri won't be swayed by that, I'm sure.

I'm convinced we'll have a new manager in the summer, and that he'll be the right man for the job.

We know our potential capabilities with a full strength line up but that was not the case. And I think you are underselling that Southampton side too. I want results and success and totally agree we need a better manager, was just pointing out that of all the utter rubbish he talks, that statement was one of the more realistic ones!!!
To be fair looking at it that way, we did OK under some circumstances - but the problem for me is that, if they even bothered to turn up or they got a little luck off the posts then they would have walked it, our performance itself regardless of the result was really poor :(

I think there'll be someone new in charge before the start of the season after but I'm still convinced they'll wait till the dust settles and the mood around the club is more balanced.
They'll certainly be sounding people out about the future but you'd hope they'd be doing that anyway

Don't think the mood will change mate. I mentioned it yesterday, but I reckon the fans unrest with Martinez has actually turned to hatred towards him, and whilst he's still at the club it's only going to get worse, and have a huge negative impact on the club as a whole, especially if the RS turn us over. also, the longer the board wait, the more they are going to incur the wrath of our fans, and I don't think Moshiri would want that after only being here 5 minutes.

Have to agree that if they act now it will be to appease fans. I can't see them suddenly loving Martinez but I also don't see things getting worse. This team is drained of confidence at the moment but still not been as bad as teams I've seen in the past.
I think they'll have future managers in mind and will move when time is right.

Think this is why Martinez should be happy that it looks like Kenwright is on his side.

Koeman:
"I'm really disappointed ...it wasn't good enough.... At least we got one point but at this final part of the season it is not enough. We want to fight for Europe and it is not a step forward"

Martinez:
"We overcame that with incredible fight and determination to get a positive result... we found a way to compete against a good Southampton side."
I've been in two minds, but that settles it.

I don't think Klipperty's been watching us. He's got the reserves out at Bournemouth.

I'd love to see Gosling score the winner.
