Game was gash, the team had no shape, couldn't string two passes together and nobody looked like they had a clue what they were meant to be doing. There's just absolutely no leadership on the pitch.

Only highlights were Joel, Stones not having any brainfarts and Connolly and Davies. Funes Mori had a decent enough game too.

Martinez can't do one soon enough for me.

Unbelievable - Martinez says he's happy with a 'hard earned point'.

Koeman says ' a very dissapointing point'.
I'm in no way defending Martinez as I want rid as much as anyone but in the context of this game I'd say those statements are fair. We put out a weakened side, they put out a full strength side and although playing badly, got a point. I'd be happy with that if Martinez and annoyed if Koeman!

I see your point mate, and this is what accepting mediocrity looks like. Please consider the capabilities of this club, and then those of Southampton.

We know our potential capabilities with a full strength line up but that was not the case. And I think you are underselling that Southampton side too. I want results and success and totally agree we need a better manager, was just pointing out that of all the utter rubbish he talks, that statement was one of the more realistic ones!!!

Yep. Statements were exactly right in the circumstances.
This is a really big danger at the moment whether people want Martinez out straightaway or not. We can't condemn everything about him and glamorise everything he isn't. Swinging from one thing to another is not the sign of a club with desire to be better.
I'd maybe even start to agree with everyone who wants him out asap if it felt like we were analysing sensibly where we go next and coming up with a clear way forward that isn't just a rejection of anything Martinez has said or believes in.

Think of how awful we played. Not the fact we had players out, then consider the managers contentness at a single point and the opposing managers frustration at a team so out of forms ability to gain a point

Hope that the Everton that turned up on the day against the rent boys will do so next Saturday against Manure.
The only positive yesterday were the two lads. Tom especially, must be given more opportunities before seasons end.
Rumours tonight that Bill and Moshiri were engaged in a heated debate on the train back to London this evening. Perhaps the most encouraging development for a while?

Can any ESCLA members provide any soundbites? (they were in first class though) however, the ESCLA guys and girls I know would be more likely to be bringing cans back from the buffet!lolo_O
Pound to a penny, Bill was defending RM and saying keep him on!

A few bright sparks yesterday. Stones looks like getting his mojo back. Joel played very well and gibbo did a magnificent screening job. It goes to show we don't need two holding when gibbo did the job fine with besic engaging higher up. If our manager would just understand our fullbacks need some cover in front of them we might start to snatch a result now and again.

Bill loves the club, but understands money. I am not sure sponsors will be impressed by pitch invaders trying to get to the manager. Although I don't condone pitch invasions that lad may have forced their hand a tad.

It should have been a few thousand on the pitch then some one would have noticed.
