Very hard to predict the outcome, though I suspect Soton having less downtime than us won't make much of a difference.

A club, moreso than team I would like to beat given all the ridiculous temper tantrums their fans have thrown since the summer.

But we seldom win games without big levels of effort and intensity, so I hope they are well up for it.

Go on then, a typically hard fought 2-1 win to the greatest club in the world.

Could really do with winning this. Results aren't that bad at the moment, but the performances are wretched.

Southampton seem to of dropped off the edge of a cliff and are without Van Dijk for this along with Austin. Of all the teams over the Festive period they are playing their 3 fixtures in the shortest amount of time, so hopefully a good chance of a win before a couple of weeks away from the league.

We were poor at St. Mary's a few weeks ago and they'll again be up for it against their former manager.

Now is the time to start Davies over Barry IMO. I'd also like to see Holgate come back in.

Either way a win would put us on 30 points and hopefully we will end the month with a stronger squad than we are going into it.
