If I interpret the system against Hull correctly it was somewhat of a 4-3-3. And within this I gotta say Davies looked really comfortable in moving the ball, creating triangle pass opportunities and trying to spark something offensively. Hope he gets at least 30 minutes against the saints.
Sometimes it's just so endlessly frustrating in trying to see the big picture when you're caught up in the moment where it appears this whole thing is stuck in the mud. Driven there by someone else.
Seriously I doubt that Koeman tries to implement hoofball 2.0 as a recipe to break down opponents. I for my part will give him 3-4 transfer windows. Even it will cost a lot of nerves and may ruin my liver in the process.

My starting XI to beast Southampton (presuming Deulofeu to Milan is a done deal):

Robles
Holgate - Williams - RFM
Coleman (c) - Schneiderlin - Gana - Baines
Barkley - Mirallas
Lukaku
Subs: Jags, Barry, Davies, Lennon, Oviedo, DCL (and a keeper, obvs).

You need to alter that to read Davies for Schneiderlin as he probably couldn't be registered in time for tomorrow ;)

It'll be their third game in 6 days and our third in 8 days. That alone should determine the outcome.

I fully expect us to win this one. I am looking for a momentous week, 3 points here and 3 signings including Schneiderlin. Oh and I want Davies to start against Southampton and start to cement his future in the team.
Not too much to ask for, I think.
