Really happy with the 3 points and the win, but it was poor from both sides for the majority of the game. We really need to bring in some creativity in Jan. The final 15/20 mins was better, but the previous 75 mins it was mainly aimless punts up field, and poor crossing into the box when we got into good positions.

Until the moment Valencia came on, we were pretty shocking. Rom seems to thrive having someone like Valencia playing alongside him as he drags defenders away. Thought the result flattered us a bit, but I'm not going to complain.

Ross, man of the match for me but could make a case for a few others. Think the tough love / hard work is paying off and he looks much more determined and committed than before imo. Still think he is much better with the game in front of him and would love to see him played a bit deeper with a second striker to help Rom out.

Good win over a decent side.

Ross for me. The fans in the main stand/ top balcony need to take a look at themselves though - the groans cascading down to me in the family enclosure in the build up to the second goal were disgraceful. He was going nowhere down the right and turned back - the groans started, this while we were winning 1-0 and still in possession. I couldn't believe it especially as he then contributed to the best move of the match, the build up to the pen from the same bit of pssession. Those fans are clueless. Leave the lad alone.

Davies did well, but Barkley gets it for me.

He often flatters to deceive but looked more like someone who's played a lot of top class football today.

Mentally it might help him to have someone inexperienced in the midfield alongside him, by which I mean that he subconsciously realises that he's a grown up now and needs to lead a bit by example.

Usual fine report. Thanks, @AndyC .

Grabbed the game when they tired due to their very tight schedule. Pleased (of course) with the points but not going overboard with the result.
