Ross for me. The fans in the main stand/ top balcony need to take a look at themselves though - the groans cascading down to me in the family enclosure in the build up to the second goal were disgraceful. He was going nowhere down the right and turned back - the groans started, this while we were winning 1-0 and still in possession. I couldn't believe it especially as he then contributed to the best move of the match, the build up to the pen from the same bit of pssession. Those fans are clueless. Leave the lad alone.

Oh brother is this the truth !!
Me and my missus are in MS2 and there is a neanderthal sat behind us who does nothing but moan and groan about both Ross and Rom... and he always, always leaves early... so we were 100% made up that the clown missed Roms' howitzer third

I love a 'howitzer' , sadly ignored by today's commentators !

Barkley and Davies offered some positives. But no major impact in an otherwise mostly uncreative team performance, but tbf no one player could be named, as none were individually that good, but the formation and team as a whole changed for the better when Valencia was introduced.
So, it was not so much a man of the match I would award, but more of a substitution of the match, (thanks Ron).
There can be no better impact by a player for a team than to be in the right place at the right time to bang it in, get the opening goal, and then later to draw a penalty. That's why I vote for the on loan sub! Without him, the game had 0-0 written all over it.

Lukaku was motm for me. It makes a massive difference if he wins a few 50 50s and out muscles his marker occasionally. Barkley and Davies were both brave on the ball and had good games as well.

Thought it was a decent game. Few calls of Lennon having a mare, but he was almost playing as a wing back at times and put a shift in there. Would of been a different game if DCL hadn't come off - showed some early flashes of playing well off Rom.

Fair play to Barkley, looked better today. Think it was interesting that when he was on the wings he did better - perhaps it's because it gives him less to think about.

A good game though and it was hard to pick a MOM as there were a number of good displays- arguably Davies for his effort and great pass for Rom, needs to bring the ball down a little more though rather than playing head tennis.

Great day though, fumers can go and suck a fat one.

..the bloke at the back was an accident waiting for them, I've always thought he was dodgy and he was no replacement for VvD. Glad he was up against Valencia for the penalty.

Yeah I'd agree with that eggs. Probably one of the easiest opponents rom will have all season but he took full advantage of it

A win is a win. 3 points are 3 points. A clean sheet is a clean sheet. Welcome.

However it was basically a dead rubber. As close to a nothing game as you can get. We went in about 12 to 14 points clear of relegation and also off the top 4.

I'm semi switched off until we take on a big power and play as if we were Everton.

Happy with 3 points but please someone explain to me..

Start the match 4-4-2 with calvent-lewis playing along side lukaku looking bright.. he gets injured and he changes the formation to a 4-2-3-1 leaving lukaku totally isolated, we play gash..then takes lennon off and puts valencia on and goes 4-42 and we are playing well..

Surley should have just put valencia on as first sub?

Anyway good 3 points.
