Not the first time we've exited this competition weakly at this stage and probably wont be the last. Meh.

Whaaaaaaat?! Winning this cup satisfies your point No. 3.
So, you're telling me getting this final and beating, say Arsenal, Chelsea, RS, Spurs, Citeh or Manure wouldn't give you ANY fan satisfaction?!
Why are we defending the rotation, suddenly starting several players who havnt played for a while (and some not good enough for this level) and expecting them to beat a team in the same league as us.
There was no need for Pickford, Gueye, Sigs, Walcott and Richarlerson to all be rotated.
I think the team that played Fulham on Saturday wins that game.
I only live 25 miles away and could have got in for £10 but did not bother because I do not think the League Cup is worth the trouble. That probably applies to a high percentage of the company on this forum including those expressing dismay and fume. Good on those who went and did make the effort. Not bothered at all by the defeat and look forward to the Leicester game which will be difficult and great to win.
Arnold is a very good player, playing in a very good settled team, put Jonjo in a good settled team he would be getting rave notices as well, not saying Kenny is as good as Arnold Trent, but he is going to be an excellent player for EvertonI just think JJK makes too many big defensive errors. I dunno if it's ability or concentration that lead to this, but it's a huge issue.
The Arnold v Kenny situation is a point in case. Arnold pushed on to become a very good player whether we like it or not. Kenny is older and not kicked on at all. Is it coaching? Is it mentality? Is it ability? I dunno. Combination of them all I suspect. But something isn't right at the club generally.

And yet his goals per minute ratio is much greater than bambi Lewins since he's been here[/QUOTE
I want them both to score on a regular basis, however DCL is improving all the time & will get better & stronger & become an absolute menace to the opposition, he has all the potential & attributes to succeed as well as a coach who believes in him...
We have this thing called the FA Cup January mate.
..whilst it’s an individual decision whether to attend the match or not, I do find it surprising that any Evertonian is ‘not bothered by the defeat at all’, especially given the opportunity we had to progress in a cup competition.
Don’t care about this competition at all. Winning this cup would not provide me as a fan any satisfaction. .

What about wanting to play our promising young players?
I'm guessing that was the reason.
For what it's worth, I agree with the principle - I'd have started Gyfli over Dowell.
So wrong, I'm afraid. forget the penalties, we needed to win this game in 90 minutes. Silva picked a weak side (at least 6 first team players missing) and it all went wrong .No it's not the reason.
The reason we're out is because the two first-team regulars who came on missed their pens.
On the bare face of it, that is the reason.
Each to their own and all that, but these views are pathetic in my opinion. To say that seeing us win our first trophy in 24 years would not provide satisfaction or say that you're not bothered at all by the defeat is absolutely mind boggling to me.
