The rules say that if the player makes an ‘honest attempt’ to play the ball it will not be a red card. Red card if they pull them over or rip them out without trying to get the ball! The challenge was obviously deemed an honest attempt but im still fuming it wasnt a red!

I tend to agree, don’t like the decision or interpretation of the rule. But I think he was trying to get the ball rather than deliberately foul, so there we are.

We were very very bad. Lucky not to be well behind at half time. Second half we improved but only a little bit.

Got battered first half and they should have been 3 up. We took our one chance and equalised. 2nd half we made changes to the system and personal to contain them (yes contain Southampton) and hoped to hit them on the break. Nothing much happened.

No point having fixed rules anymore! It depends on who the ref is and who is on VAR and what they think!

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl tells Amazon Prime: "We can kill the game in the first first half if we were more clinical with the finishing. Last game we gave 20 shots away and today it was only two or three and conceded.

"We did not play it like an away game, it was a grown up game and that is a good thing for me.

"It was tactically demanding today but in the end we had good organisation on the pitch and I had a feeling we had control of the game.

To a degree it’s always been open to interpretation, but it’s more ambiguous now for sure.

First half we didn’t deserve to draw, it was really difficult.
Of course, I am disappointed about the first half, we left a lot of space between the lines, we were not in control.
We were better in the second half but that was not enough
Richarlison scored a fantastic goal but Dominic Calvert-Lewin had difficulties because we were not in control.

It is not a good result but we have four games, we have to keep fighting and see what happens after.
