Pathetic. The standard of prem refereeing is to the point of embarrassment. Even with VAR they can’t get it right! You have what’s widely considered the best league in the world yet the refs are some of the worst. They should start from scratch and bring in new blood.

It’s good that the next one is Sunday get this horrible season over with fast.

Apart from the couple of seasons in which we were relegated, which I wasn’t alive for, this is easily the worst, most boring season in Everton history IMO.

And it just seems never ending.

Terrible first half performance, where we were constantly overrun by Southampton. How we got to 1-1 at half time, I have no idea. But we were definitely fortunate (dubious penalty decision aside). Our goal was a moment of brilliance from the two most important members of our squad, Richarlison and Digne. These are the only two players who I would be bothered to see leave the club.

Second half was better. Carlo's tactical change completely changed the game, and we relaxed so much with 3 in midfield. You could see how Southampton ran out of ideas coming up against that changed formation. But unfortunately there was not enough quality from the likes of DCL, Bernard or Kean to go on and win the game with the few chances that came their way. In fact, I felt like the game died when Gordon came off for Bernard, don't think we were able to build anything after that change. But I guess Carlo can only work with what he has got!

Considering we had lots of terrible decisions from the officials, and we started the game with the exact same issue of having an inadequate CM, I'm relieved we didn't get beat. Summer can't come soon enough.

Negatives: Too many to list, but the main one being that Gomes looks mentally shot, written all over his face. The game was completely passing him by, and he knows it.
Positives: Another solid performance from Gordon

That 1st half was a shocking performance it really was.

Too many players have been given too many chances to impress and have offers absolutely nothing.

Digne, Gordon, Richarlison the only ones at anywhere near the level required to win a PL game yesterday.

Given that Mason gave Digne a yellow for disputing a corner decision, it's probably just as well they didn't because he would have red carded the whole team

Was expecting a reaction tonight after the abject performance against Spurs, but that was more of the same, which, for me, makes that performance even worse.

This transfer window is probably the most important since Moyes took over. If we Ev this one up there is no hope.

You know what, I get where you’re coming from with that point, the context makes it worse on some levels. At least we saw some form of ‘improvement’ in the second half but it’s not much. The Spurs game though...up there with one of the worst games of football I’ve ever witnessed

Clumsy from Gomes IMO, it's a challenge he's never winning. What's he doing with that foot vs the direction of the ball?

They make the most of it/throws himself against it but a better player get a certain penalty on that 'challenge' from Gomes.
