Oh well, not to worry. Onwards all the officials go to their next game!!

Also on MOTD, they've admitted another wrong decision where Kane should have had a penalty.

Is it any surprise that FIFA want to take VAR under their control? Not saying it would fix this awful refereeing but it might at least cause VAR to be used properly.

The sad thing is, if we went to an away ground, and played the way Southampton did in the first half, we’d be talking about it as one of our best displays in years.

When is the last time we zipped the ball about and were full of movement?

The end of last season in meaningless matches.

I'm not reading much into today. We were totally crap but how we play in September is what I care about.

I think that’s the first time I’ve ever turned the sound off on a game entirely because of the commentator. Alan shearer should not be allowed to speak that much. No wonder he was such an awful manager. Possibly the biggest waste of a voice ever. It started so brightly with the pitch side punditry as well.

Not surprised at the penalty, as an Evertonian I’ve had years of conditioning when it comes to being shafted by officials.

Southampton were impressive at times and we struggled to cope. Thankfully we’ve got just enough decent players and a good manager to bail us out of the poo. We really are pathetic at times though. End of the season cannot come soon enough.

Oh and I love you Richarlison.

After the game he said we need to spend big - not on midfield where most people with an iq over 50 can identify as the weakest area - but on a single centre forward.
The man is utterly clueless.

Everton need to do something about this official situation. We'll never be a top team playing against every official in the league.

It’s good that the next one is Sunday get this horrible season over with fast.

Honestly forgot it was today we're playing.
...and I don't even know who we're not going to turn up against next, time was I could reel off the whole seasons fixtures.
Mind you, time was I could remember what I had for my tea yesterday too.

All sorts of managers - the good, the bad and the ugly, have failed to get a consistent, or mostly, Any tune out of these wasters.
Ancelotti, so far has bought nobody, so gets a pass - for now.

So what now?
We stagger to the end of this season - some sort of short break is it? Then do it all again ffs?

Hard to get motivated for this match after the disappointment of the Spurs game.

With only a handful of games left, and it being unlikely we can get a Europa League place, I'd like us to use the time to take more of a look at some of the squad players. I'd like Sidibe to start at RB, because the jury is still out with him and we already know Coleman's strengths and weaknesses are. Personally, I think Sidibe has given us a glimpse of what we are missing in the RB position, but he hasn't done nowhere near enough for me to warrant us going in for him in the summer. So I'd like him to start in the remaining games and earn his place.

I'd also like us to put Richarlison out on the right and play Kean up alongside DCL. I know Carlo has said that Kean will get more of a chance next season, but I don't see the harm in giving him some game time now that the season has fizzled out.

Finally, I also don't see the harm in giving Baningime 30 mins towards the end of the game in the CM position. Let's just take a look and see if he has anything to bring to the table.

Ever the optomist, I'll go for Everton 2 - 0 Southampton
Sidibe mate? - he can't even remember to put his 'kin socks on somedays.
