Is it possible that we haven't got a player that can be more useful as a CAM than Barkley . For all his faults I think Moyes was right not to pick Barkley as 95% of times he offers nothing and makes the wrong decisions

Which would be great if they protected the defence.

I think it works for some teams who have got 4 outstanding players in positions further forward. The likes of Arsenal spring to mind in that respect.

aye, it works best either for the quality sides who can afford to have two players in that position, or for the middling sides avoiding relegation who have to reduce goal threats at all costs.

don't think it's ideal for Europe-chasers as we don't have the quality to make it work plus our ambitions are higher than mid-table (aren't they?).
