Then we could have made Young the scapegoat. How utterly predictable, wish the ref had given that Soton penalty in the last few minutes to save us the waste of time that was the shootout.

I'm concerned that the club will soon lose its fan base. I've followed Everton for nearly 60 years and I'm losing patience rapidly.I really don't. Boycott is the only worthy response. Our fans know what they are getting into when they turn up at Goodison now: a steaming pile of excrement.
Feeling the same way mate, seen the great times and unfortunately seen the bad times. At this present moment the way we are playing and the results are up there with the worse times since I have been a supporter.I'm concerned that the club will soon lose its fan base. So easy to switch off the present and dream about the good time spells in the past.
Such a pity what with the new stadium and the potential of the club.
Ok, what have you got to say for yourself? The last time I was at Goodison ended in a 2-0 win, radzinski & kilbane netting. Hopefully I'm a good luck charm tonight. If not, you can blame me, I don't care
Couldn`t believe we only had that much possession at home to Southampton. You`d be disappointed with that stat against one of the better sides.Still can't get over having 25% possession. It is absolutely embarrassing.
Who goes to watch their team, at home, and expect the opposition to have the ball for three quarters of the game? Opposition that were in the Championship last season, no less.
I know it's not the be all and end all when it comes to getting results, but it shows an intent to be a team that is dictating / in charge and we never are. We are a meak, reactive team led by a manager who loves being "the underdog".
Looked fine to me last night, not the quickest of the mark but once he gets going he’s fine. Not sure how quick we all expect a 6 foot 6 centre half.
Branthwaite is 6ft 5 and is one of our quickest players I believe.Looked fine to me last night, not the quickest of the mark but once he gets going he’s fine. Not sure how quick we all expect a 6 foot 6 centre half.
You don’t go ahead against Villa you’re not playing for the manager, I’d say the squad are still with him.I wonder if our players are just going through a 'when is he getting fired' mode. They play good and hard for a new gaffer then he's fired
after his instructions/substituions/rotation/practices become confusing/annoying/lackluckster and they feel the manager has checked
out so they check out, wait for the new one, play to impress, dip in form, managers thinks 'these guys will get me fired' players
think 'this guy will cost me international spots and they begin to manage and play with a wary eye on each other and not the opponent?
As embarrassing as it was having so little possession, we had more clear cut chances, more corners and more shots. They passed for the sake of passing and didn’t actually benefit them in any way at all.Still can't get over having 25% possession. It is absolutely embarrassing.

Agree with that mate, but us not having the ball for such long periods every game means legs start going and tiredness and brain fog kick in.As embarrassing as it was having so little possession, we had more clear cut chances, more corners and more shots. JOB doesn’t need to be mega fast, just quick enough to recover if there’s slower players around him.
It’s why Keane and Tarks don’t really work well together. We need someone a bit quicker in there.
So may saying similar last night mate, it’s heartbreaking that we feel like this.I think us Evertonians are definately part of a big social experiment to see how much we can take, the last few seasons have drained everything from me and personally speaking I am an empty shell with regards to our club,we just feel we are in a permanent vacuum and there is no hope, any sort of hope is quickly extinguished!!!
