Sure but I'd also find it weird as it's just game two of the season. No one is tired yet so I'm sure Baines would consider it being dropped.

Also not sure foreign teams rotate with any more frequency than teams with 4+ competitions do in England. Is there a stat you've picked this up from? Or just your feeling?

It's just a feeling I've formed over the years that foreign players (on the whole, obviously there are exceptions) deal better with rotation than British players. Brits are more likely to look upon it as being dropped.

Would you keep playing Baines until he has a bad game or get's injured?. that seems to be what your saying.

I douibt very much that Digne would have left Barcleona to play second fiddle to him.

And I've said to you twice, or rather 3 times now, that it isn't being dropped, it's being rotated. A game at home against a team who is likely to defend is a much safer debut for him than some of the other alternatives.

Are you suggesting we rotate every game? I'd say most players wouldn't appreciate never getting a solid run of games.
