That's a really good result & performance to round pre season off. Think the most pleasing thing for me there was not only keeping a clean sheet, but looking reasonably comfortable in achieving it. Players looking sharp all over the pitch.

That Tarkowski injury near the end spoils it a bit but let's just hope that it wasn't as bad as it first appeared

Onana best player and by some distance. It was a good workout and more minutes for DCL

Our deliveries are still a massive concern. Patterson and Garner were awful crossing wise, Iwobi dreadful apart from one decent ball in for Doucoure.

Hoping Tarkowski wasn't a twist of the knee as they don't usually end up as good news.

Looks like we're about where I expected. The result looked like what happens if you give an actual manager a preseason. The slots in need of upgrades are obvious enough, and we have no depth.

Loan in some depth, add some width, use the pace these starters have to get forward on the counter. This season is likely a grind, but with one more summer window we might just look like a footballing outfit again.

Very good to see the team keep their heads during the last ten minutes, when Sporting was looking likely to score.

Some really good young players in that Sporting side. They weren't amazing as a team but was impressed by a few of the kids they had on.

If we were smart (we aren't) we would try our best to maintain a good relationship with them after concluding the Chermiti deal.
