Well that rounds off a poor pre season same issues nothings changed another relegation scrap begins next weekend. Maupay useless Iwobi not much better, Players lack any composure or creativity in the final 3rd really poor. Stick your stadium where the sun doesn’t shine if that’s what we will be watching in it at the expense of not strengthening the squad.
You okay mate?

3 wins 3 draws is a poor pre season now?

Enjoyed bits of that, but they had four clear-cut chances to maybe three for us. DCL and Onana played well, but we still struggle to win and hold the ball in midfield and look vulnerable at the back. Need to sharpen up for Fulham.

It’s a crappy situation to be in, we desperately need significant quality brought in, defence, midfield and attacking and major funds are needed for that .

There was flashes of some nice play at times, Onana unlucky with that lovely move and shot. Other times it was poor.

I despise this situation because you can tell people are going to be ok with mid table finishes and boredom over the next few years labelling it as stability because they aren’t anxiety inducing relegation battles. That is more years wasted.

The whole thing desperately needs a massive overhaul instead of short term fixes and flattering to deceive.

…there is a theory that a poor pre-season leads to a good season and vice versa. I’m not sure this was a ‘poor’ pre-season, I think Dyche will have assessed the fringe players (Branthwaite, Cannon, Dobbin, Onyango etc) and determined which he’ll want access to.

I thought it was a decent performance today. I like the look of Patterson and Garner down the right. Branthwaite looked good. The midfield looked solid, DCL looked good. It’s just that link between the midfield and attack.
McNeil or Danjuma playing off DCL could solve that. Even try Maupay in there, he can’t lead the line.

Overall I thought it was poor prep we haven’t looked convincing in any of the games could look at a boxer against journeymen and see a 15-0 record as soon as they step up they get found out well some do. So yes 3 wins 3 draws against lesser opposition and the way we’ve played isn’t great same issues in the team as last 2 seasons.
