…there is a theory that a poor pre-season leads to a good season and vice versa. I’m not sure this was a ‘poor’ pre-season, I think Dyche will have assessed the fringe players (Branthwaite, Cannon, Dobbin, Onyango etc) and determined which he’ll want access to.

Overall I thought it was poor prep we haven’t looked convincing in any of the games could look at a boxer against journeymen and see a 15-0 record as soon as they step up they get found out well some do. So yes 3 wins 3 draws against lesser opposition and the way we’ve played isn’t great same issues in the team as last 2 seasons.

At least half the games including today we’ve played alright, we look fitter compared to previous summers and we haven’t conceded any soft goals. Bear in mind half of one game we played a near full U21 side as well

I mean we played 6 games this pre season and ended up unbeaten, conceding only 3 times. One of those sides was a Serie A team and the one we just played (and beat) today are Champions League quality..

I’ve seen poor pre season a few times been mentioned ?? Wtf?
kept a load of clean sheets, midfield looks very cohesive attackers to come into the team,hopefully a new board to take charge in next few weeks and a few new signings attack wise and we’ll have a much better season , just to add sporting are a really good side

Yeah was always going be that with mcneil and danjuma both out. Style of play wont really improve this season still need players to come in and give us more. I thought we have looked more confident and fitter than last season, it wont be a massive change from last season but hope with some more in we can have a boring mid table season

I feel your pain. Sad that Dyche talked about big changes minutes after Bournemouth but it's still the same old same old.

That’s fine mate just my opinion of it watched every game apart from monza. Looked second best at times to Wigan and Bolton missing players in each game but what we had should be more than good enough. Sporting probably the best team we played but champions league quality that’s quite a broad spectrum, they’re a top 4 team in their league any other teams are quite far off the top 4.
