I would absolutely drop Barkley on Sunday, he has not been good enough recently and it kills me to say that because the lad is the next thing coming.

Can't moan this week about Lukaku, he has not got the service and when he got the service he got the ball on target, fair enough it was mainly from outside the area, not his fault.

Newcastle team: Joel, Coleman, Jagielka/Alcaraz, Stones, Baines, McCarthy, Besic, Mirallas, Naisy, McGeady, Lukaku. To play the way we want to you have to have balance, this is achieved playing two actual wingers (See Wolfsburg, our best performance of the season.)

It needs addressing this though whatever it is. It needs to be stopped sooner rather than later before this gets a bit ugly. We won't get relegated like some extremists were saying during and after the game, we're too good for that. My opinion is that we've walked on to the pitch thinking we're too good, fight and bottle has gone. Hopefully it comes back, the mix of steel and flair from last season would be brilliant.
Barkley's poor form happens when he's out of position. He should have kept his role after the qpr game when he was one of our best players.

Drop Naismith not Barkley. Play McGeady and Mirallas out wide and Barkley OR Eto'o in the number ten role behind Lukaku! Not rocket science, is it?!

Completely agree, even though you'll get shot down on here by the Naismith fan club. Other than the first month or so he's actually been mostly mince this season, all he is doing is getting in Lukaku's way and taking up a position that either Barkley or Eto'o would fill much better. Naismith is fine as an impact sub, but the manager accommodating him in the team at the expense of better players is just ridiculous

Spurs have eriksen behind the striker
Utd have Mata
Even swansea have sigurdsson

We have a striker with no pace called naisy playing there.

LOL and we wonder why 1. Lukaku gets no service and 2. We are so poor

Liverpool and Tottenham were apparently both absolutely dire today.

How come other teams play bad and win (Especially Tottenham, they've done this like 10 times already this season), yet we just play bad and lose? Nice one.

Liverpool and Sours may be dire but at least they play with a but of heart and that stands them well on an off day.

Playing bad and being gutless into the bargain, like EFC currently are, is a toxic mix.

Naismith needs a reappraisal. Good start to the season showed he was a good option of the bench or when there are injuries. No way should he be taking a central position away from Barkley.
Agreed, he works hard and makes some good runs but his passing is quite poor - he knows where he has to be to receive the pass around the box but lacks the class to keep the play going. Either plays the easy ball backwards/sideways that kills the play or when he attempts the harder pass forward gives it away.

I'm no naisy hater but how many top 6 sides would he be getting the game time he gets here ?
