Well I never.

Roberto Martinez: it was disappointing for sure and we are sad that the referee did not give us the vital decisions but I can't fault the players efforts, we are just lacking some luck and decisions our way. You can see that confidence too is an issue.

The ball is not going our way. We have a big opportunity to put that right with two important away games in quick succession. The players will know what is expected of them and I am positive we will respond.

Kevin (Mirallas) seems to have took a heavy knock. He played on for the team as we had no subs but it looks a bad one.

Need to utilize Coleman and Baines more if we want to get some points
Too bad they're both playing poor too.

Coleman looking a bit of a shadow of last year, and Baines' deliveries are still just as bad as the past few weeks.

What the hell do they even do in training

The best way to instill form into players is to pick them consistently. Apart from the injuries, he could have given Geads a run in the team and playing Barkley in his natural no 10 position. He has also made Lukaku into a back against goal striker which he isn't. You always stretch teams through width, not packing up Lukaku,Naismith, Barkley and Mirallas within 10 yards and then be gutted not to find a pass. You're self destructing.

Yes, of course. Royle has been out of management for an eternity, we might as well put Kendall back in charge!

BUT. HE. KNOWS. THE. CLUB. and he appreciates what the fans want and has the guts to change it if things aren't working. I mean, he dropped a D.O.W (Ebbrell) for the FA Cup Final because HE WAS THE MANAGER, not their mate. He's not the type to live off a honeymoon season either.

When he took over we had 8 points from 14 games. Let that just sink in for a moment. If we were to stretch his results between Nov 1994 and May 1995 across the whole season he'd have got us around 7th/8th.

So given that, did he rest on his laurels? No, he signed Kanchelskis from Man Utd and (once he was back from injury) we goosed lots of teams, won at Anfield and showed no fear home or away. Take the 5-2 win at Sheff Weds when AK got a hattrick and we looked like the home team - since when would we score 5 on the road these days?

Martinez can have all the good PR he wants - it's all very well saying "we want Champions League football" but if you've not a clue as to how to arrest a slump (as ultimately happened at Wigan) then you might all well fluck off!

It's obvious that you know everything, but it's also obvious that Martinez has blown it this time.

So go on then smartarse, who would you have replace him if we went down?
