He's got things majorly wrong this past couple of months has roberto. I do hope he can turn it around but I have a feeling he's just a poor arsene wenger!!
That's exactly what he is.

At least Arsenal have the players to get them in the top 4 so people give him that but with Arsenal with those players they should be challenging.

How hard is it? Leave Mccarthy and Barry at half way line, play Mcgeady and Mirallas at either wing. Lukaku up front and Barkley behind. Invite your full backs to go forward and let Barry and Mccarthy pick up the clearances.

RM will still see positives stating that he couldn't do anything as he was forced into two subs at half time.

Utter [Poor language removed] and we will struggle and be dragged into a relegation battle.

We will get slaughtered by the barcodes.

God help us in the derby.

Woe is me, but we are so crap!!!!!!!

Far too much positivity in this thread when we where awful and at times made Stoke look like world beaters....

Time to get back to basics and make us hard to beat. The defeats to Southampton and Stoke have been spineless and unacceptable and the draw with Hull was shambolic.

Signs were there in preseason. The football has been turgid all season. The results now seem to be reflecting that, but worse yet I just don't see the spirit in the team to break out of it.

I dunno what happens from here. Moyes teams had a habit of recovering from slow starts well, but I don't know if a Martinez one will.
I know what you mean, at least there was a dogged desire there at games in those seasons. Now we're a pushover. Teams need to press us and we crumble. I'm not saying I want Moyes back by the by, just we need and deserve better

You don't appoint a manager like Bobby then tell him ti change his style as soon as we hit some problems. People have found us out? Then we have to learn how to ovecome that in this style of play. I thought we were a lot better today than we have been recently. Before they scored, they should have been down to 10 men, FACHT. Not saying we would have won, but it would have made a difference. We've set out course, we have to stick with it for now and ride these troubles out...
I hope you are right, but a bloke on another website in August saying this WAS GOING HAPPEN.
Every manager in the premier league knows how to beat us, now if the manager cannot see the problem, and I think he has just shut his mind of it, how can he play any different in a style he thinks is working.

Manager reaction
Everton 0-1 Stoke

Everton manager Roberto Martinez on a booking for Jon Walters: "The red card isn't a debate, the referee sees the infringement and gives the free kick and a yellow card. I don't understand. The moment he gives the free-kick it has to be a red, Leighton Baines is running into central area in front of goal.

"The penalty for Stoke - you know what the striker is looking for. I don't think there's enough contact in that situation.

"It became a really difficult afternoon for us losing two very important players for us.

"Everything that could go against us, did. We reacted well to the disappointment at St Mary's . I didn't see this coming. This is now a pivotal moment in our season for us

A left winger is a must this january imo, baines still looks a one of our best threats going forward but hes having to do it from almost a CM role at the moment as its the only area of space he is seeing from playing off another player.

Losing pienaar has killed all the balance to the side and RMs continual use of a central player out wide is not working and he is showing a stubborn side which does not befit a top level manager and is showing the same naivety that caused wigan to be relegated. Mirallas on the left imo isnt the answer, he has worked well with coleman in the past and last season they looked more dangerous than our left side so they should stick together. Either Barkley or Naismith plays the central role, both do not work together its that simple only way they work is if barkley is in the deeper role but as he showed today when getting moved back he doesnt have that fight needed to constantly dominate a midfield.

Ive spoke about it before but i feel sorry for Lukaku, there is a beast in there somewhere but he is being asked to play the donkey role and just back to goal lay off all the time, let him do what he is natural at this persistence to make him a target man e.g big dunc is not who he is, hes a powerful on the shoulder run in behind striker, he doesnt need to be in the link up play if he starts putting the ball in the net just let him do what hes good at and not the parts of the game he is bad at.

Personally think we should go all out for Januzaj this january on loan, would be ideal for baines as he wont just stick to the wing and block space but hes also got a bit of the pienaars about the way he plays and lets be honest we are no threat to utd for 4th place we are going to be lucky to make the top 8 if things dont get changed in january.

Literally, i mean, LITERALLY, the only positive i can take from this is Naismith is banned for the next game. Tho im sure he'll just put Eto'o in his place and keep it square/round crap still.
