Everton were total dog muck. Haven't seen replay of the Baines incident yet - should it have been a red card ? Has Lee Mason decided not to give us any decisions this season (a la Conor Wickham at Sunderland) ?

My favourite part of the day was walking home as the snow started falling, thinking 'God Everton, why do I love you so much'

As I got further down County Rd to around the Black Horse, I couldn't feel my fingers or toes, I became more and more infuriated with each step.

Then it hit me...
FFS Osman!!!

He was missed today imo Lets be honest Mirallas and Naisy were not at their best - why was Barkley on the left wing ? Why did we try to go through the middle of their defence? we are not Chelsea FFS. Lukaku tried hard but he is at his best with a through ball to run on to. Why was Barry on instead of Besic? I'd play Ossie against Newcastle if only off the bench

Besic has the flu or something.

Your comments are pointless, all teams can have a bad day with referees but it does not excuse incompetent play or the manager's lack of ideas. They scored one goal from a penalty, why can't our team get stuck in and score 2 goals to win. That is what you should be looking at not calling the ref names what does that prove? If our players were any good they should be able to put bad decisions behind them and play.

Take the Soton game we pay millions for a striker to score goals, what was he doing in our penalty area scoring own goals, should he not have been up the pitch to pick passes out. Now that has to be down to the manager.

Cheers mate, always like a game of pointless. So, the City game? They pay their players more so why couldn't they score again in spite of the duff penalty they got?

Oh wait, football isn't decided by cash in the players pockets, nor sanctimonious digs re ref names. Sometimes its the little things on the pitch that make all the difference, how the ball breaks on a 50 50, a gust of wind holding a dead kick up, a deflection, or one of the most minor things going - a nonce referee switching his tiny brain on and trying to look like he knows what the rules are.

Oh well. Cash it is. Kerrrching!

I really hope Martinez can turn it all around, confidence is suffering and these things can snowball very quickly! The positive thing is that there is another game in 2 days, and Newcastle are crap! A good performance and result is badly needed to stop this rot. Please, please let it happen!

Barkley is wasted on the left wing

Football is decided by the play on the field and the winning team scoring goals, well more than the other 11, but said team should be able to put bad breaks like you describe behind them and get on with it. Cash can help but look at the spending summary done by Goat quite interesting. I have seen Everton teams like you have I bet come from even up to 2 goals down, terrible conditions but they fight back and win.

Look at Soton game ok dodgy ref decision but to go down toothless to a 3-0 scoreline one would think the manager learnt from that and try something else.

I find solace in listening to "You can't always get what you want" by Rolling Stones. Makes me cry looking at how my expectations of this season have turned into utter despair.

Newcastle had a good opening 20 minutes against Man. Utd. Their wingers looked like they can get at defences. Can't see how we are going to beat them when we are so clueless.
Unless there is a significant change I don't know if there is a team in the league who wouldn't fancy playing us.
