It was a pen all day long for me. His toe might've scrapped the ball but he's wiped the fella out in the process. The whole thing looked awkward and I'd have been screaming for a penalty if it was down the Street End.
Pen for me too, sat above the Stoke fans in the UB. Stay on your feet there and you're sound. Go to ground and the ref has to make a decision.

Maybe time RM look for a defensive coach and drop his BFF's??

Stones had a bit of a shocker today, but that was NOT a pen. He got the ball and Clattenburg was about to play on, then for some reason changed his mind. Barring in mind he totally paid no thought to the Coleman one, and the handball he gave was actually in the Stoke area...

But, the blame is mainly on us. Criminal at the back. We need Jags back soon, and Howard once again was god-awful. We're fantastic going forward, and Rom just gets better and better.

As for Stoke, far play to them, they look a fantastic side.

He still got the ball, blame Clattentwat, he's got form against us.

While conveniently ignoring the fact that stoke had goals in them today (because they were playing us) no matter what?

No, Quint - we're shabbite. totally incapable of keeping the opposition score down....Regardless of the opposition.

FFS anyone'd think it was the 1920's....And (fortunately) we're not managed by that pr1ck keegan FAFS.

And there are some (No names - they KNOW who they are - don't ya's?) who'd say: "But honest!! It'll be a different match in the three-handled pisspot final"

Well, guess what people? We have to beat schitteh first. (HAHAHA - ask me another FFS! :dodgy:)

And of course, Roberto'd change today's starting XI for the final if we get there (And if they do, too)

Yeah - like osman starting (didn't get a game today) HEY! That's probly why we lost today, innit?

NYARGHHHHHH! :rant::rant::rant::rant::rant:

Everton break my heart most of the at times; but those who wilfully ignore the glaringly obvious problems that we've got and defend the almost indefensible...

Memo to martinez - You need at least a 66% (league) win ratio to retain my confidence. I very much doubt you're capable of more than 45% for the rest of the season.

I'd like for the refs assoc. to make them explain decisions like that. He clearly pointed to the ball motioning as though he thought it was a good challenge and then a few seconds later it's a completely different scenario in his mind. For obvious reasons referees need to be protected a little bit but come on that is blatant. Should be banned from being anywhere near Goodison.

The only way to prove it was not a pen would be to appeal Stones' card. Even over on the Stoke forum, they're saying it was a massive stroke of luck.

Then again, you make your own luck, and instead of taking the impetus and getting a fourth, we sat back and that happens. We'll finish mid-table this year for that reason, and down to RM's stubborness and in-ability to defend.

I don't want him out, but I would hope he would finally wake up. Unfortunately he doesn't appear to be doing so.
