They don't score many goals at all i think before today they'd scored 16league goals all season, yet we concede four!!!

This is exactly it. Its a tough call because under Moyes we were solid. I prefer our current style of play because we're very good going forward. But this calamitous defending is killing us. 7 goals conceded at home to Stoke and Leicester at home is just not on. Teams know we can be got at. I don't think Stoke or Leicester had that many chances but boy were we punished. 3rd goal today left me speechless, and whats worrying is that I wasn't surprised when they got the 4th. Rom was awesome today but finished on the losing team.
The man is not going to save us any points but certainly could do with more in front of him

Are we so bad at defending because we throw everyone forward? i think so.
There was a noticeable difference in how both teams reacted to losing possession. It wasn't even tactical really. It was just effort to get back. Kone for example just isn't arsed in getting back, and when he does he causes havoc and assists the opposition. It appears to be a real mentality thing, in that we don't have the desire to bust a gut in the opposite direction and don't have a fear of conceding

Its clear that he's only getting some decent attacking play going because he's elected to abandon defensive duties entirely
I suppose its possible another manager could achieve it with this group of players. We have some quality I'd say. Question is, who?
