The first shot they had (that went just past the far post) came about from a typically misplaced (forward this time) nevile pass.

I just think he's one of those players that needs a bit of a run in the team to really get going. He's only started the last few games in place of Distin. I think he'll improve as the season goes on.

Yeah...probably because of our recent history of having strikers who blow hot a bit, then lay dormant for ages (Saha, Yak, Beattie). We liked AJ because of his running, but even he had long barren spells in front of goal.

Agreed. MoN just has to be the most overrated manger about imo. Typical case of 'New Manager Syndrome' when he first arrived there.

That's harsh on him. They did more than most other teams this season to nullify our attacking threat and that was down to MON's tactics.

The booking for Rose at the end for diving was nothing short of ridiculous.

He's started seven games this year hasn't he? Leeds, Orient, Fulham, Sunderland, Wigan, Southampton and Swansea.

It's not like he's had no chances at all.
 
As others have pointed out the problem is with the centre of midfield - teams get to our defence far too easily

Great win today. Upset to see Mirallas go down, looks like he'll be out until Decemberish, which is fine, we clearly need to rest him. I think we can compete with Arsenal w/o him, but I hope he can make it back for at least one of the games against City or Tottenham games. With three tough matchups in a 12 day span, I think those three games could very well be what determines whether we fight for Champions League or Europa.

Great win though, once again, it was looking like another draw but the boys proved the doubters (me) wrong.
