Two major concerns for me..

First is our defending. I never EVER feel confident in our back line anymore at it's stressing me the [Poor language removed] out. They play far too deep all the time and seem incapable of just getting rid of the ball successfully. Every counter for the opposition turns into a decent goalscoring chance and I don't like it.

The second is Mirallas being injured. Knowing our luck he'll be out for weeks now, and on current form he's our best player. Gibson is also taking forever to come back, and god help us if Felli decides to jump ship in Jan.

Sorry to be so negative, I'm really pleased with the win and our current position, but I can't help feeling that we're starting to slip. Think we're in for a tough festive period personally.

Jags/Distin is definitely our best centre back pairing. Jags/Heitinga has me papping myself even with Jags good form.

We really are ten times better when Mirrallas and Gibson (remember him?) are on the pitch. Hopefully they are back sooner rather than later.

Good to see Vellios get a run.

After watching footy focus at lunchtime I don't think Fellaini will leave in January as long as we are still in contention of Champions League places. If we fail to qualify he will go at the end of the season and Moyes and Baines could well go out the door with him. We MUST make 4th at least this year!

I thought Heitinga was alright personally. He had the task of keeping Fletcher quiet and he actually did one better by taking him out of the game.

Naismith was poor poor poor when he came on. I've given him the benefit of the doubt generally but today his footwork and passing was a mess. Pienaar had another below par game too I felt, he just doesn't look all that confident on the ball anymore, and I still can't believe his dreads are gone - he needs those back immediately!

It's not the centre-halves that are the problem. The issue is we're getting caught on the counter too quick because we're far too lightweight in the middle with the Osman/Neville combo.

We miss Gibson severely.

This, We've looked shaky since he has been out. Once he's back it should hopefully sure everything up

Positive move by Moyes definitely paid off today, he's earned his money this week

a lot of people saying poor, not saying there wrong like but sunderland were up for it
started of really well kept the ball frustrating them but were a bit shaky defensive , soon as injury +goal had too chance the game plan completly. good couple of savesfrom howard early on, think it was more even than anything both had chances but they had the best ones id say, gutted miralles went off sort of player weve needed like teta but with pace, good shot / creativity / skill startingto settle in sound now. great balls from coleman just a shame we didnt get people on the end of it most of the time
jelavic scored one positive.+ 3 points cant really complain been moaning about the draws got the three points now
what weve deserved in other games, felli again PHWOAAR. sure i was reading erlier people were putting felli + jela to score?
think sunderland will be the most gutted being 1-0 up aswell

I remember a few years ago before playing the Albion that everyone said similar things, "someone is going to get a stuffing", well they did, it was us 4-1 at home! Dangerous thinking, though understandable based on our form and Sland being crap.

Everything points to us winning, but the next 3 games will show our bottle, should win all 3 which brings pressure, something we've not coped well with previously.

Nervy 2-1 win for me, maybe with a late winner

I thank you !

I thought exactly that at one point this afternoon

In fairness to Neville he didn't do much wrong today. If he had of scored that 30 yarder it would have been funny to see he reaction on here.

He played OK in the role he was there to do - but him limitations weigh down the rest of the squad like an anchor. Because of his lack of pace and positional sense he has to play 10 yards deeper than a "normal" midfielder would, and that drags back the rest of the team 10 yards.

I'd love to see Moyes take a gamble and drop Fellaini deeper and play Naismith up top with Jelavic against Norwich/Reading. Neville should only be playing from the bench now, at best to defend a lead. He should not be in the starting eleven.

Honestly, if we can get £5m for Heitinga, I'd bite someone's hand off. He can be good occasionally, but when he's bad (which is more often the case), he is pretty damn bad. I'd take back Joleon Lescott over him any day, as well as several other less "attractive" centre-backs in our league.

Ryan Shawcross hasn't signed a new contract yet...

He was our player of the year last season.

And I wouldn't take Lescott back even in place of Mucha, the snidey [Poor language removed].

Think he's well overrated. Doesn't seem capable of the most basic defensive actions at times. People like him because he plays the ball out of defence more than for his actual defending.
