they need to desperately sort out the defending. if heitinga has to go and get in another player like-for-like then fine, but the whole back line looks out of sorts. jagielka FINALLY looks back to form pre-injury but he cant do everything himself..

Two major concerns for me..

First is our defending. I never EVER feel confident in our back line anymore at it's stressing me the [Poor language removed] out. They play far too deep all the time and seem incapable of just getting rid of the ball successfully. Every counter for the opposition turns into a decent goalscoring chance and I don't like it.

The second is Mirallas being injured. Knowing our luck he'll be out for weeks now, and on current form he's our best player. Gibson is also taking forever to come back, and god help us if Felli decides to jump ship in Jan.

Sorry to be so negative, I'm really pleased with the win and our current position, but I can't help feeling that we're starting to slip. Think we're in for a tough festive period personally.

That's spot on. Nearly every time the ball went down our end of the page it resulted in a near miss; I feel like they just keep backing off until the last possible moment...no other team seems to do that.

fellaini can't be sold, we will do a modric anyway and tell him he will play in the reserves with him being tied down for at least another 3-4 years here. Then sell him in the summer to the highest bidder for 50 mil.

I don't think these so called 'easy' games coming up are going to be as easy as some people think.

We're going to have to work for all the points, just like we did today.

Gibson back should help but god heitinga looks poor this season.

Bit harsh on us, we dominated the 90 minutes but were'nt making clear cut chances. They parked the bus and created a few chances in the first 10 or so minutes, that's all they did.

We deserved the win.

is the right answer, was one of our worst performances of the season, but that's only because we've been so brilliant in the others. we still deserved the win though, it was tough to break down with so many bodies in the box but a piece of brilliance from a guy who was largely annonymous (for him) for the rest of the match

It's the sign of a good side who can win when playing absolute ****e and for that reason I am delighted

Heitinga looked poor pre-season, and just hasnt got going for whatever reason ?
Why he insists on pi*sing about when we have a corner is baffling me no end ?

I enjoyed seeing Saha getting caught offside every 5 seconds and not in an Everton shirt for a change as well today !

It's not the centre-halves that are the problem. The issue is we're getting caught on the counter too quick because we're far too lightweight in the middle with the Osman/Neville combo.

We miss Gibson severely.

Only started watching at 65 minutes (due to a **** up).

What happened to Mirallas—any idea how long he'll be out for / injured?
