People talking about us being poor all over the park but really this is just another example of how our poor attack lets us down, and how we need an Osman/Pienaar up there.

The ball doesn't stick.....all of our attack miscontrolling or running into players or misplacing passes....and its a no-brainer that a decent passing team will be all over us and get at us with space.

Barry and Macca need the options ahead of them, and I really think seeing that lot making a mess of the balls into feet that they do get makes our CM think twice about passing it to them. So they dont take the risk. They would be passing forward more if Pienaar was there, I'm sure.

Very disappointing for what is, on paper, our best (or most exciting side). Perhaps the only difference that could be made is Delefeu for Mirallas. I would like to see McGeady stay on.

But that's not their brief.

They are told to sit in, read the game and then give it to our creative players.

Coleman, Baines, McGeady, Mirrallas, Barkley, Lukaku are the ones who bring purpose to our play.

We need to keep the ball better yes, but the reason we aren't keeping the ball is because Swansea are pressing us better than any other side at Goodison all season.

Roberto will have a game plan for the second half. 3-1 blues.
its a brief that has seen us lacking at home too often, and the two holding mids is the one thing roberto will never sacrifice, either jimmy mac needs to develop more to his game, or we should at least try playing with one of them, Gibson is missed in these games

this is the issue for me. i dont think we need 2 players doing the same job and akng away from our attacking options. id prefer one or the other with a playmaker next to them and 2 up top. shame we have no playmaker or a second decent striker to play off lukaku.

barry and mcCarthy don't break forward with any purpose, and their passing is unambitious, leaving us short of men going forward and the only option being to go outwide which is very predictable

I think Barry does try to play forwards but Barkley and Lukaku don't drop into the whole or into positions to give the likes of Barry an out ball and that's why it goes sideways a lot. Or if Lukaku does drop in deep to take the ball, he tries a first time lay off or a first time ball around the corner and it goes to no one and the play breaks down.

For me, Lukaku and Barkley have to do more off the ball and show for it more in the final third and give us a chance to get forward.

We will have are moments this 2nd half but we need to get a goal or 2 when were on top
