This is what football is really about. Absolute melts who have converted their mother's attic room into a "studio" so they can spend all week filming themselves taking uninformed, inane chuff about the tactical implications of deploying a trequartista as part of a gegenpressing approach, only to then turn into potty-mouthed 14 year-old wannabe gangsters when they lose. Arsenal fan tv is still my favourite, but they're all delicious.

Having watched the highlights, I came back on here to ask exactly the same thing. I'm certainly not seeking to absolve Gylfi of any blame, but it does look like DCL was in a good position to simply beat Sanchez to the ball and render Gylfi's actions irrelevant.
I agree, I wondered the same thing, if he had just stood up he could have headed that ball away.

Could anyone fathom why there was so much injury time? 3 minutes first half, 5 minutes FT. Wasn't even any VAR reviews or injuries. Bonkers.
Great game of togger (for the neautrals), with plenty of MOTM performances from several of our guys. Can we please play Seamus on the RW against the RS next week, can feel a 2010 repeat if he does.
I think he would do a job on Robertson. I would relish seeing Seamus rubbing that rats face in the dirt.

We've scored 8 goals in 2 games but let 7 in. this is not the usual Everton and while the results have been good, Carlo must be fumin' at the defending. I thought Davies was excellent last night, Carlo has changed him as a player and channeled his energy into moving the ball forwards. Doucoure would have been MotM in any other game but Davies edged him for me. It would be poor form to drop Davies for Allan as soon as he is fit although he probably needs a rest after the amount of running he and the Duke did last night. What a great game to watch. Lets not go lose 0-2 to Fulham though!

But only one minute at the end. Olsen spent one minute for throwing in every ball in last 5 min of the game. I agree with you, think Seamus can do much more as a wing than RB, there were glimps of his younger ages yesterday, when he could do that (attack) constantly as RB.. But than he could also defend. These days he can't do both.
