Could anyone fathom why there was so much injury time? 3 minutes first half, 5 minutes FT. Wasn't even any VAR reviews or injuries. Bonkers.
Great game of togger (for the neautrals), with plenty of MOTM performances from several of our guys. Can we please play Seamus on the RW against the RS next week, can feel a 2010 repeat if he does.

I've just watched the ESPN football show and Steve Nicol, when asked his thoughts about this match said he thought it was a good job that Spurs scored
first because it made Everton come out.

Now, I'm not someone who doesn't like ex-footballers just because they played for Liverpool - with the exception of Emlyn Hughes and Tommy Smith - but is
Nicol seriously suggesting that Everton were going to park the bus in this match?

To be fair, a lot of our recent, good results have come from keeping the game tight and nicking one either on the break or from a set piece. Before the game I'd have 100% advocated us doing the same again. As it turns out, Nicol was right because if we were in any way capable of parking the bus last night it would have ended up 3-1. As it is, we had to turn it into a slugfest and just hope we were the ones that landed the decisive blow. And we did. Yers.
