I really like Jim Beglin. He always speaks well of Everton, but he will criticise our poor play, which is OK. I think he might've been a boyhood Blue.
Beglin is a total bellend. Anything good he says about us is through gritted teeth. The fact that he was quite vocal that the handball var should have been a penalty speaks volumes for what an utterly woeful decision that was.

He was absolutely critical of

- Gomes going down in the first half, called it a “mans game”, and he should get up.
- Richarlison, rightly so and absolutely no response to his consistent diving, if this was Mane or Firminho we would be the same.

The morning after the night before. Has the game finished
I remember in the 80s Everton v Tottenham being a top game. These days it’s two poor teams playing a mid table game with a lack of class. I don’t recall a shot on target first half.
Marco got the team and tactics wrong playing three central midfielders and no number ten
I ask everyone on this forum a question
How many goals have Davies Gomes and Delph scored between them in the last say 3 years
Answer
Davies has 4 in 79 since 2015
Gomes has 4 in 81 in three years
Delph has 4 in 58
May as well play an out of forum Gylfi who has more in one season. Farcical negative tactics
Iwobi is a number ten. Rich is a winger and one of the strikers need to be on the pitch
The game was boring up until the sending off. VAR added to the misery.
It’s just not nice watching football or Everton especially these days

Indeed, a dreadful match. It is clear there are behind the scenes issues at spurs. For a club to have been such high achievers over the previous 2 seasons to have disintegrated to the degree they have (moura should be an able deputy for harry kane) suggests some personality clashes at the very least. Sad to see.

Back to ours, we started with three strikers on the bench and none on the pitch. Little wonder we had zero activity up front. And richarlison needs to stop the play acting. If he keeps that up, there is a red card coming soon. Which would be just our luck to have him suspended too.

I have only just seen the game. It was a scrappy game and we were poor going forward, again. Gomes injury overshadowed the whole game. An awful challenge by Son,which deserved the red card. Naffed off with var and how ,apart from reviewing offsides and red cards,is still based on individuals opinion. The ref should always have the final say,not somebody else, the monitors are there for a reason, use them.
Something needs to happen very quickly regarding the manager, who looks lost and seemingly unable to improve the teams performances. Dreading the next game ,win and Silva keeps his job, draw or lose and Silva keeps his job. The Board have a responsibility for ensuring that this club progresses, they must act.

Changed my opinion on the Son tackle. All stemmed from him not getting the penalty which he dived for. He had a dodgy one with Mina before the incident. End of the day he lashed out at Gomes and of course he didn’t mean for what happened to happen but he certainly meant to put him on the deck and hurt him. All this crap about him being such a nice guy and praising him for his reaction doesn’t wash. If he’s so nice whys he diving about all game and taking out players?

Someone also posted some rules somewhere along the lines of “if an intentional foul leads to a serious injury it’s a red card” not sure on the accuracy of the post but I get it. End of the day a players got limb and career threatening injury as a result of someone getting frustrated that they were unable to cheat the laws of the game.Red card was justified.

Think most people are ignoring the grievance from Son minutes before and didnt even show this on MOTD
I agree totally with @Sarnia Kevin, I too was in the main stand close to the incident, also why would MOTD show the clash from a minute earlier, there is only a limited period of action they can show and it would leave them open to accusations of stirring in suggesting it was premeditated, that aside I like Son as a player but I have no doubt it was premeditated and they should throw the book at him which of course they won't do.
