….well, it’s been well discussed. Thelwell failed to bring in an effective striker in TWO windows. It’s not rocket science when folk on here highlighted DCLs fragility from the outset, it’s not rocket science when we all pointed out the need for an effective back-up.

We are an impotent attacking force. We know that, it’s just a matter of whether we can fight an uphill battle to avoid relegation despite the incompetence of our DoF and Board. We are in there with a shout but I fear we have to get an unexpected win to stay up before the season ends.
Of course it's the board's and the DoF's fault for spurning what little money we had, but that doesn't excuse professional players not being able to work a goalkeeper.

We just saw Michael bloody Keane lash in a 25-yard thunderbolt ffs, yet we've got seasoned international players who think passing along the floor to the goalkeeper is going to end up with us scoring.

….I’m not making excuses for them. The 3 CMs have skill sets that doesn’t include quality in possession, never mind effectively striking a football. That won’t change. The major issue is impotence in attacking positions.

Feels like a bit of a missed opportunity, but glad for the point in the end. Our midfield trio (plus Iwobi) are very sloppy in possession - I'm not sure it's a great idea to have all 3 in there as there isn't much guile or pace. I suppose we'll see over the next few games. Over to you Garner.
By the way, Tarkowski is an absolute beast at the moment. Would be interesting to see his stats but he seems to be winning every header that comes his way. Got very nervous when he went down and had treatment, as I think we might struggle without him.

We are truly terrible in front of goal still. It's unfathomable how professional footballers can't, at a very least, put their feet through a ball to strike it on goal.

  1. Gray trying to curl it into top corner, ball goes flying over.
  2. Onana trying from 20 yards with his left foot, dribbles along floor into keeper's hands.
  3. Gueye totally free effort from 15 yards, blazed over the ball.
  4. Onana right foot from 20 yards, rolls into keeper's hands again.
I think I've even missed a few there as well. You it cannot spurn these chances - we didn't make Lloris work the entire game apart from when Gueye finally had a pop shot second half, and even that wasn't going in.

Spurs created NOTHING and we gifted them a goal. It wasn't a must-win game but with those chances we passed up, it's yet another huge opportunity missed.
Gueye should have fed it through to Doucoure with that one early in the second half. Totally the wrong option to shoot, and if you are going to shoot, don't blaze it over

A well deserved draw against a very poor cheating Spurs team. Kane is a disgrace and always has been. Top marks to Dyche for changing formation, and dropping McNeill deeper to play at times a back 5 because we were getting overrun on the flanks.

Last night was a must win for me - we have nearly run out of winnable fixtures.

So..... we need to pull off one or two spectaculars and hope for the other teams not to go on good runs.

It was definitely two points lost as we were the better team and Spurs created nothing at all, they were awful all night and we had loads of half decent chances with the same usual outcome.

That said, the character displayed after the red card speaks volumes. Two games in a row we've come from behind to avoid defeat against good sides.

That will help build confidence and hopefully the better results will follow... they need to or we're going down.

Annoying we couldn't get the 3 points as Spurs was dreadful.
It is, and we need to be picking up as many points at home as possible. However, a minimum of two points against Chelsea, Spurs and United isn't shabby.

If we somehow win at United, five from those would be stellar, and would go a long way to building confidence, momentum and a better chance of survival.

Totally disagree with your last night was a must win myself, many had us to lose the last 2 and probably Sat, i think getting last 2 and man utd out the way getting 2 points and still been as close as what we are, putting in the performances we did, gives us a great chance, feel we will beat Fulham and Bournemouth home for a start, myself
