They're all full of spirt and industry. It's like a third round tie against a lower league team. They give it everything.

I prefer playing them after Christmas when they're looking over their shoulders and fearful.

But at least we're playing them at Goodison. Need to get this match, and the season, off to a flyer.

True, it can also go completely the other way though, a fair few have been thrashed.

That doesn't seem to be the Flores way. Our improvements have been overwhelmingly defensive (much needed) and whilst we'll be able to look after ourselves, we won't be a physical side punting the ball up to Deeney who (despite his bulk and strength) isn't a typical target man. In fact we haven't played long ball for years. We keep it on the deck and play some lovely flowing stuff. Or at least we did last season. Like I said earlier, who knows?
 

Be interesting to see how he lines up, if he's judging it on pre season then Kone and Naismith shouldn't be near the first XI. I speculate he'll go;

But then I'd argue that if we're not dropping a defensive mid at home to Watford who the hell will we drop one against? I'd go same back 5 but;

I think we've touched lucky here with this opening day fixture. They're going to find it hard to gel. If any other club were playing this outfit today you'd be giving them no chance of getting the points.

As long as we keep the tempo high we'll frighten the life out of them and give them a PL baptism of fire.

good of the bleach manufacturers to bring out lemon flavour. Very civilized splash of gin and a slice at 4.50pm.
 
Their squad is like some 14 year old's decided to mix and match a bunch of random freebies and bargains they think can make it in the Premier League. Heard of about 5 or so players.
