Our cutting edge up front is laughable we are clueless,we get the ball up front then go side to side till we lose it.
Taking besic off was the easy option as well.

Get Naismith and Barkley out of the team and McCarthy and anybody else in. State of our squad is horrific. Time to go two up front and at least try and score goals. Same defence, Mirallas, McCarthy, Besic, Atsu if he's available, Kone, Lukaku. Basically all we've got to choose from... I think that Oviedo has deserved a start on the left wing. Move Mirallas into the space behind Lukaku or play him up front with him.

Forgot about him. Yes get him in definitely. Him and Mirallas should be starting every game they are fit. If Mirallas is only good for a half play him from the start not from the bench ffs. That will do. Baines and Oviedo one flank, Coleman and Mirallas the other.

To be fair, we did well vs west ham and man city. I just think that the fans will turn on him big time if liverpool beat us at home. Kenwright will respond if he hears goodison calling for the managers head.

Thoughts from last night

first of all our best players on the night. For me, besic and Oviedo impressed me. Besic is easily premiership quality now which is impressive after only 4 months of experience. Oviedo when he came on just brought the fight and desire that we need throughout the team.

Worst players, Naismith + Barkely. Still stand by my thoughts that naismith is a terrible footballer because he offers nothing but goals. At the start of the season that was great and having him run round a tough game is fine but as proved last night he isnt going to contribute to our attacking flow and the more he starts the more we have a man down in attack for most of a game. Barkley's biggest problem was that everytime he got the ball there was a wall of players and he didnt know what to do, so he faded throughout the game. Perhaps that is a massive weakness he needs to work on?

As for the result. Said before the game we needed to win, and we didnt. It is looking dire, statistically WE ARE THE WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE right now. We are falling like a stone and have a run of games that if it carries on could make the mountain to climb an even bigger one. The biggest issue is that teams have sussed us out and are letting us play into their hands. The team that looked more likeley to scoring last night was West brom, they defended for 75 minutes and as soon as they could they put legs on and tried to counter us which almost worked if that lad was worth 9 million to begin with.

We are on the brink of total disaster and we need miracles right now. We cannot beat the teams around us, we cannot win a game for 13 games now, we are going to be running out of games to play for points with Arsenal untied chelsea spurs liverpool all to play, that could be 5 games we dont get a result from at all based on recent times. So where next? By the time march has kicked in we could be bottom 3, or we could be stable in midtable. but miracles are needed.

I back martinez but this isnt just not good enough but its almost as if he enjoys relegation battles. Either we start winning or we sack him.

Maybe your right about the derby but something needs to change if Martinez won't change and we keep losing and drawing kenwright has to act.

Well that was awful again. I think teams have sussed us out this season, they play 4-5-1, get 9 men behind the ball and just hold us at arms length and we cant break them down.

For me the hardest thing at the moment is watching Barkley, he will not shoot, no matter what. On the few occasions he got into good positions, with a clear sight of goal, he took another 10 touches and the chance was gone.

We need to try someone else in the team, I know that may be unpopular with many people, but if someone is not playing well, no matter who they are, they should be dropped and if the team are not getting results, changes have to be made, for the good of the club.

Urgency and pace is what we need. The players have not gone from top of the PL to relegation material in the space of 4 months. So the tactics is where the blame should be laid.

I think they have mate. You're spot on about the tactics too, but some of the players look like they can't remember how to play football.
