That's the price of the Europa in a hard group picking up injuries to key players in a competition that is useless to us - our squad does not have the cash resources for it!
I mean, if we win it like.. it won't have been useless.

I'd take 10th and Europa league win all year. Think the players would too. I mean, 4th is a great achievement, but winning this Europa would actually cement our place in the CL group next year wouldn't it?

Long way to go yet but somehow I am still a believer.

I can't see us winning any of our next three fixtures

No chance.
Palace rejuvenated by Pardew - We will have to score 3 to win that.
Liverpool - Picking up form, they'll come to Goodison and want to play football which will make for an open game so I'm not sure how that'll turn out.
Chelsea - Don't need to say much

For all the doom mongers we play very good v teams that attack us - if bainsy had scored from the pen last night - the WBA fans would have been fuming as our goal keeper nearly died of Hypothermia he had nothing to do - how bad were WBA , and is that the football you would like to watch just to get a point - I do not want to go backwards in the DM days oh by the way we finished 17th one season with him - with HOOF ball!

I think that Oviedo has deserved a start on the left wing. Move Mirallas into the space behind Lukaku or play him up front with him.
Not the worst idea I've heard. We certainly need to change something

OK, we were gutsy in the previous three matches but we still didn't win any of them.

Apparently we won the possession stats! but as I told DaveK elsewhere that does not win games, it is goals that win the games, and to score goals chances need to be created, therein lies our failure. Which RM seems to be incapable of addressing with his selections and subs.In short has no bloody idea.

Blame the Capt on the pitch for not using his authority on the pitch to take the ball of egoist KM and give it to Baines Sky Sports looked at Jags on the half way line tying up his boot laces - If baines had took his pen we would have won 1-0 perhaps or by even more!

RM face told a 100 stories as KM took the ball with players arguing it was like I bagsy this ball by KM Lukarku is not a Heskey as he scores goals in a poor supply from midfield!
Take you horrible blinkered glasses off RM does not become a failure in one season - the Europa cup is always a drain on a team look at Newcastle, and Swansea the season after in the relegation zone its not a unusual thing to happen with a paper thin squad with injuries!
I stated on here I did not want mickey mouse Europa football with poor revenues, and a drain on resources!
KM was immediately subbed , and for me lets cash in on the crock in the next two weeks, and sign Redmond from Norwich!

Looks to me like you're the one with the blinkered specs on.
A manager is well on the road to being a failure when he is unable to control his players on the pitch, when he's unable to keep his dressing room together, when hes unable to make the correct tactical substitutions , when he has no plan b, when he signs players like Alcaraz from a team he has already relegated, when he hasn't won a game in 6 or 7 attempts, when he wastes 'resources' on mercenaries like Eto, etc etc.
When's the last Europa game we played? is it really that much of a drain? Shouldn't be a drain now we're out of all the domestic competitions at an early stage and our best hope with regard to the league is mid table obscurity.
Martinez needs to learn how to win ugly , something all successful teams in this league can do, until he accepts this then it's all down hill from here given our 'paper thin' resources.

Utter drivel. Played 7 games against the current top 6 this season - D 2 L 5.
And away from home, where the emphasis is on teams to attack us, we have won 2 from 11.

It's horrible to admit it, but those stats are awful, and it's a long way back to that set of stats on the left.

I'm sorry but those stats to me can only mean 1 thing, the manager has lost the dressing room with his suicidal tactics

So whos our next managerial saviour then?
im not saying to sack him...yet, just that he needs to start incorporating different styles when needed. Im almost certain the players have in a way advised him of this . if he refuses and it looks like he's taking us where he took wigan then we need to look at alternatives.

Yes but be positive for the future we need some players changing in the JAN window not a manager every fan was happy with before this bad run!

This exactly what I alluded to in my post in the thread "as to whether RM should go or not". I can see no light at the end of the tunnel! I wish I had been able to set the points out better like you have here, cheers mate.
