I thought we played quite well yesterday. Only the very best sides can break down two parked busses with some sort of regularity, even then its still not easy......we have never in the history of the PL had the players to do it constantly...

So ten men behind the ball - Not one shot of any note on target is that why we wanted rid of DM?
We are on a bad run I admit that, but this is the same manager who got us record prem points last season with attractive football - too many on here with knee jerk reactions - Yes I worry, but we should have scored our pen tonight end off!
but we didnt score our penalty end off. We didnt beat our potential relegation rivals at home end off. We didnt build on the momentum from the city or west ham game end off. At this stage in the season, if ten men behind the ball was gauranteed to keep us up? absofuckinglutley id go with it and whoever could gaurantee our survival.
BTW who wanted rid of DM? i for one and many many others certainly didnt.

He has to give his all if he is after a move. No contract talks and ticking into 12 months. Very Barmbyesque for me sadly. Either he shows willing to sign or we look to shift him on. Think tonight has probably sealed his fate. :(
I see where you're coming from mate, although I hope you're wrong :)

So you think it's acceptable for a manager to sign a £28m belgian Heskey and fail to build a squad around his playing style? Just assume everything will be OK because we've nearly doubled our high score on the transfer market and flexed our muscles like that token specky lad at the gym?

Alright we'd have moaned a bit if there was never a deal for Rom, but if Martinez was the tactical genius we thought he was, then he'd have looked straight into the lens and said "I know what I am doing".

Grow some peyabs you meff!

The bit in bold is my favourite part of this, because really what you're saying is "grow up" (why you're saying that I am not quite sure) when you make reference to "specky lads at the gym" which if nothing else shows you might be the immature one in this conversation buddy - name calling is pretty pathetic isnt it?

Anyway on to your ridiculous point about the "Belgian Heskey". Again, it's ridiculous.

Lukaku did well last year playing in the exact same system. He has struggled for form this year, its obvious that our play has been slower since the Chelsea game at home where we tried going toe to toe with the best attacking team in the league and got literally out-scored. Since then you can see the players, due to depleted confidence levels, are much slower with the ball. Our system relies on the ball constantly moving, constantly being switched from side to side.

Throw into the mix that opponents, like last night, are more than happy to come to us and play for a draw because they know we dont possess any pace in the side so they can just sit back - have the occasional break forward - and ask us to try and create chances in 4cm pockets.

Tony Pulis did an excellent job last night in turning up and getting a point. We need fresh bodies in, especially a winger with pace. We desperately need Osman and/or Pienaar back even if its for 15/20 mins at the end of games.

The problem isnt the system, it isnt the woe-fully underrated Lukaku if your comparisons to Heskey are anything to go by.

For me its the fact that we've still got sh*t load of injuries, the players are ridiculously out of form and we have nothing on the bench to create goals against teams who don't have a go at us.

We need a playmaker. Desperately.

Just me, but Id say that even if my entire post is wrong, its at least constructive - perhaps you could give that a try mate rather than still acting like a high school kid.

Tel you what as well, if Naismith starts the next game... What a pitiful performance that was last night from him. Lacking in absolutely everything. Is McCarthy back? Get Naismith and Barkley out of the team and McCarthy and anybody else in. State of our squad is horrific. Time to go two up front and at least try and score goals. Same defence, Mirallas, McCarthy, Besic, Atsu if he's available, Kone, Lukaku. Basically all we've got to choose from... No point wasting any time on Barkley, Naismith, McGeady, Pienaar, Osman, Hibbert, Distin...

The Naisy mafia will be after you mate, pitchforks and all. HE'S BOSS HE RUNS HIS SOCKS OFF LAD GIVES 120%

Seem to remember an incident at Utd several years ago when a player who was not the designated penalty taker decided to take a penalty. I think Utd were well ahead in the game as well.

The captain at the time was one Roy Keane.

You won't need me to tell you what the outcome was.
Love to see footage of that

We missed players like pienaar and osman last night.
With good feet in tight spaces.
Besic had a few nice touches - Barry couldnt craft anything.
Wouldn't this have been the right game for Eto'o to have played?

Why is everyone overlooking how good stones was?! The lad was possibly our most attacking player last night and he's our Fooking centre half!! Says a lot about our attack and the players whose job it is to create. Oviedo should start for me with either Naismith or Barkley being dropped

Naismith is a very limited footballer. He has some good slotting qualities but offers nothing else. I hope Martinez does not offer him any more than a 1 year extension.

But Nessi is only a tip of the iceberg.

Everton have issues all over the shop.

I don't have the footballing answers. I work 10 plus hours a day on issues (to me) more important than football. Everton pays people a lot of money to get the footballing answers.

Can people just do their jobs.... please?!

Blame the Capt on the pitch for not using his authority on the pitch to take the ball of egoist KM and give it to Baines Sky Sports looked at Jags on the half way line tying up his boot laces - If baines had took his pen we would have won 1-0 perhaps or by even more!

RM face told a 100 stories as KM took the ball with players arguing it was like I bagsy this ball by KM Lukarku is not a Heskey as he scores goals in a poor supply from midfield!
Take you horrible blinkered glasses off RM does not become a failure in one season - the Europa cup is always a drain on a team look at Newcastle, and Swansea the season after in the relegation zone its not a unusual thing to happen with a paper thin squad with injuries!
I stated on here I did not want mickey mouse Europa football with poor revenues, and a drain on resources!
KM was immediately subbed , and for me lets cash in on the crock in the next two weeks, and sign Redmond from Norwich!

Erm...

Alright- any other team sacks their manager after seeing those stats. If we don't sack the Clown- and i've given him quite some time now- after the derby (depending on a W or L or D), then im not watching soccer/ football for a long time- or at lest until Europa League starts. A bottom half finish with a EL win would be alright for me, as long as their is no relegation. Can't wait for next season to start.
You're funny. (Ha Ha not peculiar)

13 games and only one win, not sure that's a knee jerk fella. People keep saying we are too good to go down etc, have they not watched us this season. We are clueless going forward and a mistake waiting to happen at the back. I'm not one for panicking but this run is starting to become a real worry...
That's the price of the Europa in a hard group picking up injuries to key players in a competition that is useless to us - our squad does not have the cash resources for it!
