Don't understand how anybody who watched even just the highlights could say we were poor. They had about one chance.

Norwich had 2 shots on target and scored 2 goals.

We had 8 shots on target today and couldn't find the back of the net.

Maybe it's bad luck. Maybe we're not being clinical enough. We're doing the right things but it's not quite going our way at the minute.

Sure it was only 8? Creation in the last 3rd wasn't awe inspiring, or as good as beginning of last season, but this squad have been there before a few times!

I'm still not convinced that Barkley is ready to knit our play together in the middle of the park or that Mirallas is capable of delivering decisive crosses. I'd be very tempted to switch them round. Jelavic could probably do with a few training sessions on beating the offside trap too.

And in the Norwich game we were the better team also.

I'd be far more bothered if we were getting beaten or playing like we often did at the start of the season under Moyes, but we're not.

A few observations:

1) We lack the cutting edge in the final third. That's really it. We do all the hard work but have nothing to show for it at the end.

2) Would have liked to have have had one win and a draw vs. two draws but it's not the end of the world.

3) I imagine that when Gibson is healthy, that Osman will be the one to make way, not Barkley.

4) Roberto needed to make a change sooner than he did today. I didn't mind Naismith (based on his stellar preseason form) but Oviedo or Deulofeu in on the wing with Pienaar moving into the middle for Osman would have been my preferred substitution.

5) I wanted Vic on before Kone.

6) Fellaini seemed fine to me today. Too many on Twiiter saying he was playing like his head was turned. I didn't see it.

That is all.

I have long thought that Fellaini has issues with Jelavic. I thought he was playing fine yesterday until him and Jelavic got in a bit of a tangle inside their box, opportunity missed and on the telly you could see Jelavic go into meltdown on Felli.

It was also similar to last year's game when that yard dog Olsson was climbing all over the lad at corners.

To me he wears his heart on his sleeve and sometimes gets a bit emotional and loses focus.

I had a series of 'kin useless striking partners ( so called "10's") in my heyday and some games it used to anger me to distraction, I can only imagine how Felli must feel sometimes.
