Despite two good first half performances at Spurs and Chelsea we've been struggling of late. Along comes West Ham with 4 wins on the trot - it was always going to be a difficult game!

The positives - Lukaku is back and scores within minutes of being on the pitch, clean sheet, Stones looking a very good player - a footballing centre half. Most importantly 3 points and we move on.

FA Cup quarter final against a struggling Arsenal, and still a chance of European football next year - realistically could we expect more?

Decent win, now looking forward to the game at the Emirates. I thought McGeady looked dangerous again, handy player, and McCarthy and Barry are back to their best. Barkley's cameo was 10x better than last week, and Stones looked solid, what a player he will turn out to be. Baines just seems to be everywhere too. But most importantly, we had a striker who came on looked dangerous a couple of times and scored. Nice, that. Arsenal are there for the taking. (As you can probably tell, only started watching in the 55th minute or so)

the reason why lukaku doesn't score more is because mirallas is to selfish
and pienaar really slows a play down and most off the times avoids lukaku

Oh ok, missed my point a bit like. Nothing wrong with being unlucky on the day but we played awful today whereas when Chelsea played them, well we can put that down to poor finishing.

Chelsea stats v WHU 39 shots, 12 on target, 16 blocked shots from inside the area. That my friend is poor finishing

But only one point, whereas we only had three,scored-3points. Footy eh!

Poor finishing suggests that we where through on goal time and time again only to be denied by a goalkeeper, a post or missing the target.

You are referring to shots from outside the box as poor finishing?? Because we didn't have the creativity to create clear cut chances.

No, I'm referring to Pienaar hitting the post and then missing a great opportunity, Naismith missing a header in the 1st half, Distin unable to hit the target from 3 meters in...
