Dunno why there's shock (unless it's faux) at some of sourpuss' comments...he's been encouraging for most of, if not the whole, season. At least with pitch-side matters.

In a weird way this is what I like. If a player has the confidence & ability to take players on, especially when they're capable of a bit of magic themselves, I say let them have a go. His efforts could have just as easily gone in and all too often the other players just seem to want to walk the ball into the net.He was dreadful, mate. Aside from the one where he came close where he did well I can't remember him doing anything but give the ball away really, aside from the one where he ran the length of the pitch to make a block clearance. Which was boss and probably wouldn't have happened a few months ago. So many times he had the opportunity to pass and fannied about with it instead.
Great point. You can't have it both ways. You can't criticise us for losing pretty and still criticise us when we win ugly without admitting you're an unrealistic perfectionist. I agree long-term trends of poor play need to be addressed but the odd game, especially when you still deliver a victory, can be glossed over.
Like who? I thought he was the only one who didn't play well.
He was on the pitch for 73 minutes, like. And it wouldn't have been a goal of the season candidate. Plus, more to the point, it didn't go in. I've just lauded him for it, by the way, in case you didn't notice the laudingness.
Pienaar did my head in way way more mate.
For example.
And someone told me Osman was playing. I didn't notice.
I thought Pienaar was outstanding, personally. Second half at least. First half he done my head in a bit, especially that one where we had a break on and he rolled it at a snail's pace and gave their defender time to make an interception.
Aye, he wasn't exactly Yaya Toure style imposing like but I thought Osman was decent this week. As he was against Spurs and Chelsea.
Thing is Az, all of our players atm have a incomplete game with the possible exception of coleman and baines, its down to the staff to bring on their weaker areas without losing the things they individually excel at, a easier job with the younger lads than the older ones ofc, but its why i said about next year being a better judge to what martinez envisions us to be all about
Of course, yeah. I'm not having a go at the team at all as I think Martinez is possibly the best person to ever walk the earth, just think Deulofeu was greedy today.
