Don't think Seamus has been firing on all cylinders recently tbh. Think he's tired? Another victim of "too much expectation" perhaps?

...difficult for anybody to maintain top performances over the course of a season, especially in this league. Players will play with knocks etc and games come thick and fast. Need to accept ups and downs from a player and team perspective.

...we won. All games are a challenge, home and away. Tick this one off and move on. Lots of debate, lots of inquisition, but we were miles better than a team who are on a bit of a run.
Tell ya what, I'd rather gouge my eyeballs out then smash 'em with a lump hammer than have to watch a Sam Allardyce team every week

You've both summed it up nicely. It's hard to believe West Ham had won four on the trot. They came for a point, nearly got away with it and are a horrible Allardyce outfit. We played some decent stuff at times but lacked guile so it's a great result and was effectively our game in hand on MoyesUtd.

Happy Days.

Li Tie was a bit crap though wasn't he?

He had a decent first season and then kept getting injured. He never properly recovered from a broken leg. If you'd seen him play regularly I reckon you'd have rated him. Similar in some ways to McCarthy.

Bad today but West Ham have been on a great run while we have been on a bad one, no matter how hard on the eye that was today we kept a clean sheet and won, Lukaku got his first for a while, and 3 points. Im happy, off to town for a curry looking forward to next week now :)
