Thoughts:

We played counter-attacking football for the most part today, much like in the Europa, to no surprise Lukaku looked like himself and we attacked well for the most part.

Besic was good again - he's going to be a great little player for us. Love him already.

Robles even looked solid after a dodgy start.

Stones is still boss.

Taking off Mirallas was the most ridiculous decision i've ever seen, and again it was NO surprise that until McGeady came on and gave us some width we were barely able to move the ball upfield and create a chance. Martinez please take note.

The theory about the players not playing for Martinez and the shirt is bullshit, and I hope people realise.

"First half we created the best opportunities and didn't take them. Then, we were open to conceding from set pieces. But the character we showed, when we're not in a great mood at the moment, was of a huge satisfaction. The replay was a huge reward and we look forward to that. The late equaliser could be a turning point."

"It would have been a crime if we had been out of the cup. I feel very unfortunate not to be able to allow Romelu Lukaku's disallowed goal in a physical game. It is a normal contact.

"I am pleased with the character and the reaction we showed. We are low on confidence, but it was a phenomenal reaction and it could easily be a turning point."

Phenomenal.

Confidence is so fragile it's painful though. The 10/15 minute spell of pressure they had after scoring all came from our heads dropping and losing our way as a result. Fair play for regaining some control towards the end and putting the pressure back on.

Besic should have stayed on the post. You never leave the post if you are given it.
Except he wasn't on the post. All game his position from corners was about 2-3 yards in front of the post towards the corner.

He should have won that header though. There was no way Collins should be the player winning that header when amongst FIVE Everton players.

Killa nails it:

"Everton were a threat on the break in the first half but in the second half they weren't a threat out of possession. With David Moyes, pre-season was intense but you'd have spells during the season where you would have fitness days. Last season it looked like Roberto Martinez had taken the side on but there was no energy in the side in the final 20-30 minutes today. Even though they did score a late equaliser."

He's right in most of that and will be a very very relieved man tonight. When we scored it showed how much that goal meant to him. He's feeling the pressure big time there's no doubt about it
