Il decide tonight after the draw how important this tie is.

A favourable draw and a decent chance to progress to the last 16 is not to be sniffed at.

A horrible draw tonight, and this game will become a bit meh for me.
This game gives us a chance to get back on track,so it can't be a bit meh, I think it is a very important game for all of us.

....I thought he was lost and chasing shadows against Newcastle. Ironically, when he found himself out wide he created 2 goal scoring opportunities (although I appreciate he created Mirallas' goal from a central position). Can't understand the logic of shifting him from full back when he is one of the best around in that position.

He wasn't lost at all, did a fantastic job of pressing from the front, gives him chance to roam and effect the game in more important positions on the pitch. Against Hull he showed that he's got the ability to create double the chances in centre midfield. We're overloaded with good centre backs and Baines in centre midfield works so it's what we should do.

5-0 its on, or maybe a bore of a game with a scrappy win for either team, depends which everton team turns up( if its the one from this seaon we are fooked) and who fat head picks

....disagree, but I understand that RM shares your view that he could be a central midfielder. I thought he was 'lost' against Newcastle, I watched him closely but that is understandable as it will take some getting used to. I thought he was in no-mans land at times.

Good player, though, so you might be right that he's better in there. Time will tell, but for me he's a top left back and that's where he should play.

they're playing bad cos they're in a rut, confidence levels are rock bottom, line up constantly changing because of injuries, these things all contribute but I think the overriding factor is that the system (and tempo) they are playing isn't working and looks blatantly obvious that its not going to either - he sort of tried to tweak it with the barry experiment on new years day but that was a disaster, he needs to shake it up and quick, no problem with having a possession based philosphy but get us doing it higher up the pitch and up the tempo as soon as we hit their final third, a few crunching tackles every now and again wouldn't go amiss either just to let them know who we are!!!

But again...tempo....seriously, he is not sending them out on the pitch saying lads play at negative tempo and we will be great. I would disagree that the system is the overriding factor personally, but maybe it is. At least you acknowledge all the other factors...which is more than some do.

Although I understand my profile stalker NeverABlue86 is banned now, so that might calm the hysteria a bit.

Robles
Coleman-Jags-Stones-Garbutt
Mirallas-Besic-Barkley-Baines
Lukaku-Kone
442, not even arsed. Just do them blues.

The stupid thing is when you look at that team (goalkeeper aside) its got everything. Pace and power throughout, yet we play like we're drunkenly staggering around town.
