Even game, West Ham lucky. No one to blame actually, it was lack of energy and creativity as a team. WH was very disciplined and hard to break down. Good to se our captain back, did a good job. Some players must move on this year, they are not good enough to be in a team from fighting for CL .

Including the captain.....

Dave, don’t know if you’ve been watching but every other occasion we’ve had a game to go top or near the top this season we’ve won it
Leeds?

And the United cup game and this one tonight shows how lacking in focus and self belief they are.

We're miles off being a top team in the making. It takes mental strength as well as good players (and we clearly dont have enough of them)

Poor game from us. Just didn't come off for us. Davies MOTM. Godfrey, Holgate and Mina couldn't handle the physicality. Doucoure was very poor. Siggy and Bernard had little come off for them. James didn't impact the game but coming back from injury. A really horrible game to lose
You mean MOTCW

Don't agree with this.

Well, it's good he's back, but he was awful.

We look weaker defensively with him in there. There's tons more space for teams and frankly we look inbalanced.

I don't think that's on Coleman, but it shows that you lack the balance if you don't have two proper FBs in.

He was awful poor going forward. Kept constantly chopping back and giving West Ham time to organise.

I think only Doucoure turned up tonight.

The rest were terrible. I'm particularly frustrated with Richarlison - lazy.

West Ham setup to frustrate, knowing we didn't have the quality of balance to force the issue. They did it well.

We got sucker punched and we fell right into it.

Our performance was terrible, but West Ham never, ever deserved a win there and we've gifted them it.
I think he needs a rocket up his ass and told he needs to improve his attitude or he gets dropped. He's got a contract with us and we def wont see Barca offering anything over what we paid for him unless his performances improve massively.
Think his heads up his hole just now tbh, and even though it sounds childish i dont think he's happy with all the plaudits Doms been getting while he's been stinking the place out.

I agree about singling out Coleman, but he along with many others on the pitch gave unacceptable performances. Yes some fans get carried away with a couple of wins, however what we are all sick of is abject performances like this when we had the chance to go second.

I just thought it wasobvious that we aren't a top side yet. I don't think we can expect our squad doing well against teams that park the bus as extremely as West Ham did today. This has to be the next step in our development but I think the general trajectory is a good one. We are finally sensible with our transfer activity and we're maintaining a respectable table position with a squad mainly consisting of players that ended up 12th in the league last year.

What I hate about Everton are all the whiney fans who flip flop with their opinions about players by the second. You should all look in the mirror and see what's really responsible for the situation at our club and that's constant moaning and no consistent backing for our players. We win one, two, three, four games and everybody loses their minds: "We will pull a Leicester." Where is the humility and the realism? We lose one game and suddenly we're bound for a decade and the Championship and all our players are lousy. How would you perform at your jobs if everytime you had a just about average day at work and people would start booing and hurling insults at you? We're the Schalke to Liverpool's Dortmund. You know what good supporters get right? They maintain a sense for real life and they back even their most mediocre players as their own. Get behind Davies, get behind Siggy, get behind Seamus. Especially the disrespectful slander against Seamus is so infuriating. Sure, we need better players. But defecating all over a humble, loyal servant to our club who happens to be as decent a human being as seems possible for a modern football, I can't understand this nonsense. We have to be better as fans. Especially those that frequent Goodison. I'll catch a lot of flack for this, but most of you will know there's truth to this.

No point bothering mate. Its human nature, every club does it.

I agree that this game has to just be treated as one of those though. The positives this season is that we have a solidity which works well at teams who come at us. We still need to solve the quality issue and thats where we are. And until we do then invariably we will have moments of inconsistency in the best league in the world.

Should have handed out this book to the players for Christmas
