Time for another course correction from carlo. Expansive for the first run of wina. Defensive for the second.

Got some decent parts of the solution but needs building on. In particular some pace in attack and a return to form of Richarlison.

It doesn't nean that his shot was good enough if none of our other players got a shot off does it?

Nobody even had a bloody shot at goal apart from Bernard. How the hell are we supposed to win a game ......

I was surprised at the hubris that populated this place in advance of this match. We're a deeply unreliable outfit. Asking us to win five in a row is asking miracles. We are simply reverting to the mean. If we'd lost to, say, Chelsea, and won tonight you'd say we were par for the course. Instead, we beat Chelsea and lose tonight. A rollercoaster. And we'll continue to be up and down until the manager can get his players into a vast majority of positions. Too many fragile parts to our team to be reliable.

This pretty much nails why I'm fairly apathetic towards Everton defeats these days. We're just too unreliable, and we aren't the only team in the league who've been this way especially this season.

If there had been a crowd there tonight they would have got more out of Everton. Some of our players looked like they did not want the ball. Low quality and low morale throughout the team. Gomes did OK when he came on.

And we bounced back from that with a solid December, we bounced back from United by beating Sheff Utd.

Did we bounce back from anything really?

We have been pretty dire through most of December. Sometimes we won, sometimes we lost. It's the performances that are an issue right now. If a couple of other teams start turning up against us we will start to struggle again.
