Richy needs to learn to pass when running at defenders every once in a while...squandered a few forays forward because he just ran into defenders when he had some options (Gomez, James) to lay off to later runs into the box...

Thought the defence looked pretty solid tonight. Coleman looks off the pace though, doesn't get close enough to block crosses and can't seem to run properly going forward.

The attacking options were dreadful though. Strangely we looked much better and more balanced when they scored. Gomes and Rodriguez looked tidy. Skater boy had a terrible game, his passing and tackling were abysmal.

Typical Everton to ruin our new year like that.

It's obvious we lack depth. The summer plugged holes, but we still need upgrades in a few areas and credible deputies where our better players aren't performing.

It takes more than one window to do that.

Aside from the woeful performance tonight, we've largely had a good season. Adding some competition/fresh legs in January will be no bad thing.

Oh absolutely regarding one window, ofcourse.

We've had a good season but I can't felt feel we've been fortunate with some of the other teams being dreadful too.

His passing was awful as you say, and he was way off his normal standards.....

Really needed a result today. Got Wolves away next and find it hard to see us getting anything there if we don't buckle up. Then the Cazoo derby at Villa Park which won't be easy either.

Doucoure best of a bad lot ....If Gomez could do what he did for a whole match we’d have something. Too many negatives today / wasted opportunity/ Everton that

Hopefully we get an immediate response as opposed to another 3-4 match slump.

I gave MOTM to Doucoure simply because he looked like he was interested, in the end he gave up and lost that interest, someone said it looks like Richarlison‘s heart and mind is already at Barcelona, his legs will never get there!!!He wasn’t the only who was very poor tonight but probably the worst of a whole lot of pathetic, putrid performances.
